อัลมัชริก (อาหรับ: ٱلْمَشْرِق‎; "ตะวันออก") เป็นส่วนตะวันออกของโลกอาหรับที่ตั้งอยู่ในเอเชียตะวันตกกับแอฟริกาเหนือฝั่งตะวันออก ประกอบด้วยรัฐอาหรับต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ กาตาร์, คูเวต, จอร์แดน, ซาอุดีอาระเบีย, ซีเรีย, ซูดาน, บาห์เรน, ปาเลสไตน์, เยเมน, เลบานอน, สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์, อิรัก, อียิปต์ และโอมาน แต่ไม่รวมรัฐที่ไม่ใช่อาหรับอย่างคอโมโรส, จิบูตี และโซมาเลียซึ่งเป็นสมาชิกสันนิบาตอาหรับ

อัลมัชริก มีความหมายเชิงกวีว่า "แดนอาทิตย์อุทัย" โดยมาจากรูปกริยาว่า ชะเราะเกาะ (شرق; "ส่องแสง" "สว่างไสว" "แผ่รังสี" หรือ "ขึ้น") สื่อถึงทิศตะวันออกซึ่งเป็นทิศที่พระอาทิตย์ขึ้น

ภูมิศาสตร์

ศัพท์ อัลมัชริก สื่อถึงประเทศที่อยู่ระหว่างทะเลเมดิเตอร์เรเนียนกับประเทศอิหร่าน เป็นศัพท์คู่กับ อัลมัฆริบ (ٱلْمَغْرِب) ซึ่งสื่อถึงส่วนตะวันตกของแอฟริกาเหนือ ลิเบียอาจแบ่งเป็นสองส่วนระหว่างเขตอิทธิพลอัลมัชริกกับเขตอิทธิพลอัลมัฆริบ โดยภาคตะวันออก (ไซราเนกา) มีความเชื่อมโยงกับอียิปต์และอัลมัชริกมากกว่า
