แม่น้ำคงคา

แม่น้ำคงคาเป็นแม่น้ำระหว่างประเทศในทวีปเอเชีย ไหลผ่านประเทศอินเดีย และ บังกลาเทศ มีความยาว 2,525 km (1,569 mi) จากต้นน้ำในเทือกเขาหิมาลัย ในรัฐอุตตราขัณฑ์ ไหลลงทางใต้ละตะวันออกผ่านที่ราบลุ่มแม่น้ำคงคาในอินเดียเหนือเข้าสู่ประเทศบังกลาเทศ และไหลลงอ่าวเบงกอล เป็นแหล่งน้ำให้กับประชากร 11% of ของโลก เนื่องจากพื้นที่ที่แม่น้ำไหลผ่านเป็นหนึ่งในพื้นที่ที่มีประชากรหนาแน่นที่สุดในโลก และเป็นแม่น้ำใหญ่ที่สุดอันดับที่สามในโลกตามจำนวนการปล่อยน้ำ
