Constructed in Inkscape according to descriptions found on page 33 of the graphic charter of the city of Bergen and in the city encyclopaedia of Bergen. Arms extracted from page 34 of the first document.
Fixed some geometrical imperfections which I seem to have inadvertently introduced some time before; slightly reduced the file size; switched to a deeper shade of yellow which gives a better contrast against the white and the rather dark shade of red.
Redid the flag with the latest version of File:Bergen våpen.svg, and managed to somewhat reduce the file size again. However, judging by the original uploads by Eirik1231, who managed to get the file into the 71 KB range, it probably could be further improved. Anyone who wants to is welcome to give it a shot.
Updated the image with the same changed that I did to File:Bergen våpen.svg, most importantly including an attempt at remedying the crack visible in the black outline. With that said, I seem to be increasing the file size. If anyone can and wants to reupload the file with a smaller size, but with no loss of information, please do.
I redid the file. While the dimensions already were correct according to the sources, the colours still irked me. Starting with the red colour, it is stated to be the same red as in the Norwegian flag. That shade of red is officially given as Pantone 186 C by the Nordic Council as well as the Nordic Flag Society. As for the gold, it is a tincture that in many situations, not the least when used on flags, is rendered as yellow. Here, I used Pantone 102 C as recommended by the National Archival...
