Aceros นกเงือก ขนาดใหญ่สกุลหนึ่ง พบในภูมิภาคเอเชียอาคเนย์ โดยในสกุลนี้บางชนิดอาจถูกจัดให้อยู่ในสกุล Rhyticeros โดยถือว่าเป็นสกุลเดียว รวมถึงนกเงือกคอแดง ที่เหลืออาจจะจัดให้อยู่ในสกุล Rhyticeros นอกจากนี้แล้วนกเงือกหัวหงอกก็จัดอยู่ในสกุลนี้ด้วย แต่ส่วนใหญ่ขณะนี้ถูกจัดให้อยู่ในสกุล Berenicornis แทน
โดยที่คำว่า Aceros (/อาแกร็อส/) มาจากคำว่า "cera" หรือ "keras" ซึ่งเป็นภาษากรีก (κερος) แปลว่า "เขาสัตว์" และ A ที่เป็นอุปสรรค หมายถึง "ไม่" โดยรวมหมายถึง "ไม่มีเขา" อันหมายถึง นกเงือกในสกุลนี้ไม่มีโหนกแข็งอยู่บนหัวเหมือนนกเงือกสกุลอื่น
การจำแนก นกเงือกปากย่น , Aceros corrugatus นกเงือกบิด, Aceros leucocephalus นกเงือกคอแดง , Aceros nipalensis นกเงือกวาลเดน, Aceros waldeni บางชนิดของสกุลนี้สูญพันธุ์ไปแล้วจากเกาะลีฟู ในหมู่เกาะลอยัลตี โดยเคยมีอยู่เมื่อ 30,000 ปีก่อน ซึ่งเดิมเคยถูกจัดให้อยู่ในสกุลนี้ แต่นักชีววิทยาบางคนได้จัดให้อยู่ในสกุล Rhyticeros
