สมาคมสตรีผู้สื่อข่าวภาพยนตร์

สมาคมสตรีผู้สื่อข่าวภาพยนตร์ (อังกฤษ: Alliance of Women Film Journalists, คำย่อ AWFJ) เป็นองค์การไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี ค.ศ. 2006 จากฐานในนิวยอร์กซิตี้ สหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งอุทิศตนเพื่อสนับสนุนการทำงานโดยสตรีและเกี่ยวกับสตรีในอุตสาหกรรมภาพยนตร์ . AWFJ ประกอบด้วยนักวิจารณ์ภาพยนตร์หญิง ผู้สื่อข่าวหญิง และนักเขียนหญิงทางด้านสารคดีภาพยนตร์ ที่ทำงานในสายสิ่งพิมพ์ สายวิทยุและโทรทัศน์ และสื่อออนไลน์ จำนวน 76 คน สถาบันภาพยนตร์อังกฤษอธิบายถึง AWFJ ว่าเป็นองค์การที่เก็บรวบรวมบทความ (ฐานที่สหรัฐอเมริกาเป็นหลัก) โดยสมาชิก และให้รางวัลประจำปี และ "สนับสนุนภาพยนตร์โดยสตรีและเกี่ยวกับสตรี".

รางวัลและผู้ได้รับการเสนอชื่อ

รางวัล EDA

เริ่มตังแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2007 AWFJ ได้มอบรางวัลภาพยนตร์ที่ดีที่สุด (และที่แย่ที่สุด) ในภาพยนตร์โดยวิธีการโหวตจากสมาชิก รางวัลเรียกว่า EDA เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่มารดาของผู้ก่อตั้ง AWFJ คือ Jennifer Merin ซึ่งก็คือ นักแสดง Eda Reiss Merin (31 กรกฎาคม ค.ศ. 1913 - 31 มีนาคม ค.ศ. 1998) และ EDA ยังเป็นคำย่อมาจาก "Excellent Dynamic Activism" ด้วย   รางวัลนี้ได้รับการเสนอข่าวในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมาโดยมีแหล่งข่าวของสื่อกระแสหลักหลายแห่ง ได้แก่   TIME, USA Today, and Variety, และยังมีรายชื่อในรีวิวรางวัลภาพยนตร์ของ The New York Times ด้วย ในปี 2007 AWFJ ได้เผยแพร่รายชื่อภาพยนตร์ Top 100 Films List เพื่อการตอบโต้กับ 100 ปี 100 รายชื่อภาพยนตร์ที่จัดทำโดยสถาบันภาพยนตร์อเมริกัน (AFI)  AWFJ ได้สร้างรายชื่อนั้นเพื่อดูว่าสมาชิกจะมีรายชื่อที่แตกต่างอย่างมีสาระสำคัญจาก AFI หรือไม่
