บัดดี โรเจอส์

"เนเจอร์บอย" บัดดี โรเจอร์ส ("Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers; 20 กุมภาพันธ์ ค.ศ. 1921 – 26 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 1992) เป็นนักมวยปล้ำอาชีพชาวอเมริกันของเวิลด์ไวด์เรสต์ลิงเฟดดิเรชั่น (WWWF) เป็นแชมป์โลกเฮฟวี่เวท WWWFคนแรกหรือแชมป์ WWE ในปัจจุบัน และเคยได้แชมป์โลกเฮฟวี่เวท NWA ปัจจุบันเสียชีวิตลงด้วยอายุรวม 71 ปี และได้รับการบรรจุชื่อเข้าสู่หอเกียรติยศดับเบิลยูดับเบิลยูอีประจำปี 1994

ประวัติ

เป็นลูกชายของพ่อแม่ผู้อพยพเยอรมัน, โรเจอร์สเป็นนักกีฬาที่โดดเด่นโดยขึ้นปล้ำตอนอายุ 9 ปีในสมาคมระดับท้องถิ่น YMCA ตามคำแนะนำของอาจารย์คนหนึ่งของเขา เขาได้เข้าร่วมในแคมเดน YMCA Wrestling League และชนะเลิศเป็นแชมป์เฮฟวี่เวท นอกจากนี้เขายังมีความสมารถในฟุตบอล ,มวยสากล แต่บางทีกีฬาที่เขาเล่นดีที่สุดของเขาก็คือว่ายน้ำ ในปี ค.ศ. 1937 เขาชนะเลิศเป็น YMCA’s three-mile swimming championship และตลอดชีวิตของเขาเป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะที่เป็นนักดื่มยอดเยี่ยม

ต่อมาเข้าได้เข้าร่วมกับ Dale Brothers Circus ในการเป็นนักมวยปล้ำตอนอายุ 17 ปี จากนั้นเขาก็ไปทำงานที่อู่ต่อเรือและกลายเป็นเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ แต่วันหนึ่งเขาไปยังสำนักงานของโปรโมเตอร์มวยปล้ำ Ray และ Frank Hanley ซึ่งทำให้ได้ขึ้นปล้ำในแมทช์ครั้งแรกของเขาในวันที่ 3 กรกฎาคม ค.ศ. 1939 โดยเอาชนะ Moe Brazen
