แมตได้เซ็นสัญญากับWWEในปี1998 เคยได้แชมป์ ECW 1 สมัย และแชมป์ยูเอส ปี2009 แมตได้ทะเลาะกับเจฟฟ์แล้วก็ทำให้เจฟฟ์เสียแชมป์ WWEให้เอดจ์ และทั้งคู่ต้องเจอกันในเรสเซิลเมเนีย ครั้งที่ 25ในเอ็กซ์ตรีมรูลส์แมตช์โดยแมตเอาชนะไปได้ แต่ว่าในแบคแลช (2009)แมตก็พ่ายแพ้ให้กับเจฟฟ์ใน I Quit Match ก่อนจะลาออกจาก WWE ในปี 2010 และได้ย้ายไปสังกัดTNAในเวลาต่อมา
