วงศ์กระท้อน (Meliaceae หรือ Mahogany family) เป็นวงศ์ของพืชมีดอกที่ส่นใหญ่เป็นไม้ยืนต้นหรือไม้พุ่ม มีส่วนน้อยที่เป็นไม้ล้มลุก หรือเป็นพืชป่าชายเลน อยู่ในอันดับ Sapindales ลักษณะการเรียงของใบเป็นแบบเรียงสลับ (alternate) เส้นใบเป็นแบบขนนก ไม่มีหูใบ ดอกเป็นดอกช่อแบบ panicles, cymes, spikes, หรือ clusters สปีชีส์ส่วนใหญ่ไม่ผลัดใบ วงศ์นี้ประกอบด้วย 50 สกุลและ 550 สปีชีส์ มีการกระจายตัวอย่างกว้างขวางในเขตร้อนตั้งแต่จีนจนถึงออสเตรเลีย
