Withdrawal reflex

withdrawal reflex หรือ nociceptive flexion reflex หรือ flexor withdrawal reflex เป็นรีเฟล็กซ์ไขสันหลัง (spinal reflex) ที่ป้องกันร่างกายจากสิ่งเร้าที่เป็นอันตรายทางผิวหนังรีเฟล็กซ์จะประสานการหดเกร็งของกล้ามเนื้องอ (flexor) และการคลายตัวของกล้ามเนื้อเหยียด (extensor) ทั้งหมดในอวัยวะนั้น ๆ อย่างรวดเร็วเพื่อให้ร่างกายถอนตัว/อวัยวะจากสิ่งเร้าที่อาจเป็นอันตราย แม้รีเฟล็กซ์ไขสันหลังบางครั้งจะวิ่งผ่านไซแนปส์เดียว (monosynaptic) และอำนวยโดยวงรีเฟล็กซ์ (reflex arc) ที่ง่าย ๆ แต่รีเฟล็กซ์นี้วิ่งผ่านไซแนปส์หลายอัน (polysynaptic) ซึ่งกระตุ้นเซลล์ประสาทสั่งการจำนวนมากให้ทำงาน เป็นการสั่งให้กล้ามเนื้อต่าง ๆ ทำงานเพื่อให้ถอนตัวออกจากอันตรายได้เร็วที่สุด

ตัวอย่าง
