นกแว่นสีน้ำตาล หรือ นกแว่นใต้ (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ : Polyplectron malacense ) เป็นไก่ฟ้าขนาดกลางในวงศ์ไก่ฟ้าและนกกระทา เป็นญาติใกล้ชิดกับนกแว่นบอร์เนียว (P. schleiermacheri ) ซึ่งแต่เดิมถือเป็นชนิดเดียวกัน ก่อนจะแยกออกจากกันในภายหลัง
ลักษณะ นกแว่นสีน้ำตาลเป็นนกขนาดกลางค่อนข้างใหญ่ มีรูปร่างและขนาดคล้ายนกแว่นสีเทา แต่เล็กกว่า คือมีขนาดความยาวลำตัวประมาณ 56–76 เซนติเมตร สีทั่วตัวออกเป็นสีน้ำตาล แว่นมีสีเขียวอมเหลืองเหลือบม่วงแดง และจำนวนแว่นดูจะมีมากกว่านกแว่นสีเทา ขามีเดือยข้างละ 2 เดือย ตัวเมียไม่มีเดือย ขาสีเทา ตัวผู้หางอาจยาวกว่า 25 เซนติเมตร หัวมีพุ่มหงอนเป็นขนสั้น ๆ สีเขียวแกมน้ำเงิน ผิวหน้ามีสีส้ม และจะมีหงอนยาวกว่านกแว่นสีเทา ตัวผู้หนัก 600–700 กรัม ตัวเมียหนัก 450–550 กรัม
