ภาวะผู้นำ

ภาวะผู้นำ หรือ ความเป็นผู้นำ เป็นทั้งพื้นที่การวิจัยและทักษะการปฏิบัติที่ครอบคลุมถึงความสามารถของแต่ละบุคคลหรือองค์กร เพื่อ "นำ" หรือแนะนำบุคคลอื่น, ทีม หรือทั้งองค์กร ซึ่งมีข้อโต้แย้งของมุมมองต่าง ๆ จากการเปรียบเทียบความเป็นผู้นำของตะวันออกและตะวันตก ตลอดจนวิธีการของสหรัฐ (ในตะวันตก) กับยุโรป โดยทางวิชาการของสหรัฐนิยามความเป็นผู้นำว่า "กระบวนการของอิทธิพลทางสังคม ที่บุคคลหนึ่งสามารถขอความช่วยเหลือและการสนับสนุนจากผู้อื่นสู่ความสำเร็จของภารกิจทั่วไป" ส่วนความเป็นผู้นำจากมุมมองของยุโรปและไม่ใช่มุมมองด้านวิชาการหมายถึง ผู้นำที่สามารถขับเคลื่อน ไม่ใช่แค่เป้าหมายของกลุ่มเท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมไปถึงการค้นหาพลังอำนาจส่วนบุคคลด้วย

การศึกษาภาวะผู้นำเกี่ยวกับภาวะผู้นำได้สร้างทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้องกับลักษณะต่าง ๆ, สถานการณ์ปฏิสัมพันธ์, หน้าที่, พฤติกรรม, อำนาจ, วิสัยทัศน์และค่านิยม, เสน่ห์ และสติปัญญา ท่ามกลางคนอื่น ๆ
