การออกแบบอย่างชาญฉลาด (อังกฤษ: intelligent design, ID) เป็นมุมมองทางวิทยาศาสตร์เทียมอย่างหนึ่ง ที่มองว่า ลักษณะบางอย่างของจักรวาลและสิ่งมีชีวิต ไม่อาจมีคำอธิบายที่ดีอย่างอื่นนอกจากการที่ถูกออกแบบโดยความฉลาด และไม่ได้เกิดจากกระบวนการที่ไม่ได้รับการชี้นำ เช่น การคัดเลือกโดยธรรมชาติ นักการศึกษา นักปรัชญา และวงการวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้แสดงหลักฐานให้เห็นแล้วว่าแนวคิดนี้เป็นข้อถกเถียงเชิงศาสนา โดยเป็นความเชื่อเรื่องการมีผู้สร้าง (creationism) อย่างหนึ่ง ซึ่งไม่มีหลักฐานสนับสนุน และไม่มีการเสนอสมมติฐานที่สามารถตรวจสอบได้ ฝ่ายสนับสนุนแนวคิดนี้มองว่าแนวคิดนี้เป็น "ทฤษฎีทางวิทยาศาสตร์แบบอิงหลักฐานเกี่ยวกับกำเนิดของชีวิต" ที่ท้าทายแนวคิดหลักของวิทยาศาสตร์สมัยใหม่ซึ่งเชื่อเรื่องธรรมชาตินิยมเชิงกระบวนการ (methodological naturalism)
