ซิงเกิลนิวคลีโอไทด์โพลีมอร์ฟิซึม

ซิงเกิลนิวคลีโอไทด์โพลีมอร์ฟิซึม (อังกฤษ: single-nucleotide polymorphism) หรือสนิป (อังกฤษ: SNP) เป็นการแปรผันของลำดับดีเอ็นเอชนิดหนึ่งซึ่งมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงของนิวคลีโอไทด์หนึ่งตัวในจีโนมทำให้แตกต่างจากจีโนมของสิ่งมีชีวิตอื่นในสปีชีส์เดียวกันหรือต่างจากโครโมโซมอีกแท่งหนึ่งในสิ่งมีชีวิตเดียวกัน ตัวอย่างเช่น ชิ้นส่วนดีเอ็นเอในตำแหน่งเดียวกันจากคนสองคนพบเป็น AAGCCTA และ AAGCTTA มีความแตกต่างที่นิวคลีโอไทด์ตัวหนึ่ง เช่นนี้กล่าวได้ว่า SNP นี้มี 2 อัลลีล โดย SNP ส่วนใหญ่มีเพียง 2 อัลลีลเท่านั้น
