ยุคมืด (อังกฤษ: Dark Ages หรือ Dark Age) หมายถึงช่วงเวลาของความเสื่อมโทรมทั้งทางวัฒนธรรมและทางสังคมในยุโรปหลังจากการล่มสลายของจักรวรรดิโรมัน (Decline of the Roman Empire) มาจนถึงในสมัยที่มีการฟื้นฟูการศึกษากันขึ้นอีกครั้ง แต่ความเข้าใจที่เพิ่มขึ้นในคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 19 ของความสำเร็จต่างที่เกิดขึ้นในยุคนี้ทำให้ภาพพจน์ของลักษณะความเป็นยุคมืดเปลี่ยนไป ฉะนั้นคำว่ายุคมืดจึงจำกัดเฉพาะช่วงเวลาหนึ่งภายในยุคกลาง ที่สำคัญคือยุคกลางตอนต้น (Early Middle Ages) แต่การจำกัดนี้ก็ยังไม่เป็นที่ตกลงกันในหมู่นักวิชาการสมัยใหม่ผู้มักจะเลี่ยงการใช้คำนี้
