หมึกไดมอนด์ (อังกฤษ : Diamond squid, Diamondback squid ; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ : Thysanoteuthis rhombus ) เป็นหมึก ประเภทหมึกกล้วย ชนิดหนึ่ง
หมึกไดมอนด์ เป็นหมึกกล้วยที่มีขนาดใหญ่ชนิดหนึ่ง สามารถโตเต็มที่ยาวได้ถึง 100 เซนติเมตร และมีน้ำหนักได้มากถึง 30 กิโลกรัม แต่น้ำหนักโดยเฉลี่ยประมาณ 20 กิโลกรัม หมึกไดมอนด์เป็นหมึกน้ำลึกอาศัยอยู่ในระดับน้ำที่มีความลึกกว่า 200 เมตร นับเป็นหมึกที่ไม่ค่อยจะพบเห็นได้บ่อยนัก มีจุดเด่น คือ มีหนวดสองเส้นมีลักษณะแผ่ออกคล้ายกับครีบหรือระบาย เมื่ออยู่ในน้ำลึกหรือกลางน้ำจะมีสีลำตัวสีน้ำเงิน แต่เมื่อขึ้นมาใกล้กับผิวน้ำหรือถูกจับขึ้นมาพ้นน้ำจะเปลี่ยนสีตัวเองเป็นสีแดงเข้ม
หมึกไดมอนด์ เป็นหมึกที่พบได้ทั่วโลกในเขตร้อน และเขตอบอุ่น เป็นหมึกที่มีความสำคัญทางประมงโดยเฉพาะอย่างที่ทะเลญี่ปุ่น และโอกินาวา ในขณะที่บริเวณเกาะดอนซอล ในฟิลิปปินส์ ชาวพื้นเมืองที่นั่นจะเรียกหมึกไดมอนด์ว่า "คูสิท" เป็นหมึกที่สามารถขายได้ดีมีราคาสูง โดยเคยมีผู้จับได้ขนาดตัวที่มีน้ำหนักสูงสุดถึง 25 กิโลกรัม สามารถนำไปประกอบเป็นอาหารได้หลากหลาย ใช้วิธีการตกแบบพื้นเมือง คือ การออกเรือไปตั้งแต่เช้ามืด โดยใช้เบ็ดที่ไม่มีตะขอเกี่ยวกับเหยื่อล่อ คือ ปลา หย่อนลงไปในทะเลพร้อมกับไฟใต้น้ำที่เปิดกระพริบเพื่อเรียกความสนใจ เนื่องจากเมื่อหมึกไดมอนด์ฮุบเหยื่อแล้วจะไม่ลากเหยื่อไปในทิศทางต่าง ๆ เหมือนปลา แต่จะดึงขึ้นอย่างเดียว โดยสภาพที่ดีที่สุดในการจับหมึกไดมอนด์ คือ ทะเลที่มีคลื่นลม เพราะจะทำให้เหยื่อในน้ำนั้นมีการเคลื่อนไหวที่ดูเป็นธรรมชาติมากกว่าผู้ตกเคลื่อนไหว และหากจับได้แล้วตัวหนึ่ง ก็จะรีบสาวขึ้นมา เพื่อที่จะได้ตกอีกตัว เนื่องจากเป็นหมึกที่มีพฤติกรรมอาศัยอยู่กันเป็นคู่
