องค์การระหว่างประเทศ (อังกฤษ: international organisation/organization) เป็นองค์การที่มีสมาชิก ขอบเขต หรือการปรากฏตัวในระดับนานาชาติ มีสองประเภทดังนี้
องค์การนอกภาครัฐระหว่างประเทศ (international nongovernmental organisation: INGO) คือ องค์การนอกภาครัฐ (nongovernmental organisation: NGO) ที่ดำเนินงานในระดับนานาชาติ เช่น องค์การไม่แสวงกำไร (non-profit organisation) และหน่วยงานในระดับโลก เป็นต้นว่า องค์การขบวนการลูกเสือโลก (World Organization of the Scout Movement), คณะกรรมการกาชาดระหว่างประเทศ (International Committee of the Red Cross), และการแพทย์ไร้พรมแดน (Médecins Sans Frontières)
องค์การระหว่างรัฐบาล (intergovernmental organisation) หรือองค์การระหว่างประเทศระดับรัฐบาล (international governmental organisation: IGO) เป็นองค์การที่ใกล้เคียงกับนิยามของ "องค์การระหว่างประเทศ" ในกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศมากที่สุด องค์การเหล่านี้มักมีสมาชิกเป็นรัฐเอกราช (sovereign state) ซึ่งเรียกว่า รัฐสมาชิก (member state) ตัวอย่างขององค์การประเภทนี้ เช่น สหประชาชาติ (United Nations), องค์การความมั่นคงและความร่วมมือในยุโรป (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe), สภายุโรป (Council of Europe), องค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (International Labour Organization), และองค์การตำรวจระหว่างประเทศ (International Police Organization)
องค์การระหว่างรัฐบาลองค์การแรกและเก่าแก่ที่สุด คือ คณะกรรมการกลางเพื่อการเดินเรือในแม่น้ำไรน์ (Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine) ซึ่งที่ประชุมเวียนนา (Congress of Vienna) จัดตั้งขึ้นใน ค.ศ. 1815
