หญ้าปากควาย (อังกฤษ : Crowfoot grass, Beach wiregrass; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ : Dactyloctenium aegyptium ) เป็นพืชวงศ์หญ้า และเป็นพืชฤดูเดียว แตกหน่อเป็นกลุ่ม ออกรากและยอดจากข้อของไหล ที่อยู่ด้านล่าง สูง 30 - 50 ซม. ใบเป็นเส้นตรงยาว 20 ซม. มีขนที่ขอบใบ ดอกเป็นดอกช่อแบบ spike ประกอบด้วยช่อดอกย่อย 2-7 อัน ยาว 2-4 ซม. มีขนตรงกลาง วงชีวิตสั้น ออกดอกได้ตลอดปี ขยายพันธุ์ด้วยเมล็ดและไหล ชอบดินแห้ง พบตามที่สูง และที่ดินรกร้าง กระจายพันธุ์ทั่วประเทศไทย
ในทวีปแอฟริกา พืชชนิดนี้ใช้เป็นพืชอาหารแบบดั้งเดิม โดยมีการใช้เมล็ดของพืชชนิดเป็นอาหารสัตว์เมื่อความแห้งแล้ง อดอยาก ในขณะที่ในพื้นที่อื่นๆถือว่าเป็นวัชพืช
