ปลาเพียว (อังกฤษ : Asian glassfishes, Asian glass catfishes ) สกุล ของปลากระดูกแข็ง ในอันดับปลาหนัง จำพวกหนึ่งในวงศ์ปลาเนื้ออ่อน (Siluridae)
โดยที่ชื่อสกุล Kryptopterus นั้นมาจากภาษากรีกโบราณ คำว่า kryptós (κρυπτός, "ซ่อน") กับ ptéryx (πτέρυξ, "ครีบ") อันเนื่องจากปลาในสกุลนี้มีครีบหลังที่เล็กมาก ซึ่งแตกต่างจากปลาสกุลอื่นในวงศ์ เดียวกัน
จัดเป็นปลาขนาดเล็ก มีลำตัวยาวแบนข้าง ลำตัวบางใสมีสี เดียวจนในบางชนิดสามารถมองทะลุเห็นกระดูก ภายในได้เหมือนเอกซเรย์ มีหนวด 2 คู่ หนวดคู่แรกบนขากรรไกรบน ส่วนคู่ที่ 2 อยู่บนขากรรไกรล่าง สั้นหรือยาวแล้วแต่ละชนิด โดยหนวดที่มุมปากยาวเลยช่องเหงือก หนวดที่คางเล็กและสั้น ปากแคบ มุมปากยื่นไม่ถึงนัยน์ตา มีก้านครีบ 1-2 ก้าน ครีบหลังเล็ก หรือบางชนิดก็ไม่มี ครีบท้องมีก้านครีบแขนง 4-8 ก้าน
นิยมอยู่กันเป็นฝูง โดยมีพฤติกรรมรวมกัน คือ มักอยู่รวมกันเป็นฝูงโดยหันหน้าไปทางเดียวกันในระดับกลางน้ำ เมื่อแตกตื่นตกใจมักจะแตกหนีไปคนละทิศละทาง จนหายตกใจแล้วค่อยกลับมารวมตัวกันอีก
การจำแนก ปัจจุบันจำแนกออกได้เป็น 19 ชนิด แต่ก็มีบางชนิดที่เป็นชนิดทับซ้อนกัน และมีแนวโน้มว่าจะเป็นชนิดเดียวกัน
ในประเทศไทยพบปลาในสกุลนี้อย่างน้อย 4 ชนิด
