บทความนี้อ้างอิงคริสต์ศักราช/คริสต์ทศวรรษ/คริสต์ศตวรรษ ซึ่งเป็นสาระสำคัญของเนื้อหา

รายชื่อภาพเขียนที่มีราคาสูงที่สุด เป็นรายชื่อของภาพเขียนที่ทราบกันว่ามีการซื้อขายจิตรกรรมกันในราคาที่สูงที่สุดตามที่บันทึกเป็นหลักฐาน การขายภาพเขียนครั้งแรก ๆ เป็นการขายภาพ "ทานตะวันสิบห้าดอกในแจกัน" โดยฟินเซนต์ ฟัน โคค ในปี ค.ศ. 1987 ในราคาที่สูงกว่าภาพเขียนที่ขายกันก่อนหน้านั้นถึงสามเท่าตัวที่ทำสถิติสองปีก่อนหน้านั้น ซึ่งเป็นการเริ่มยุคของการซื้อขายภาพเขียนกันด้วยราคาอันมหาศาล นอกจากในเรื่องราคาแล้วการซื้อขายครั้งนี้ก็มีความสำคัญตรงที่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ภาพเขียน "สมัยใหม่" ได้ขึ้นอันดับเป็นครั้งแรกแทนที่จะเป็นงานจิตรกรรมชั้นครู (old master painting) ดังที่เคยเป็นมาก่อนหน้านั้น ตั้งแต่นั้นมาการซื้อขายภาพเขียนที่มีค่าก็มักจะทำโดยการประมูล แต่ก็ยังมีบ้างที่ยังทำการซื้อขายกันเป็นการส่วนบุคคล

ภาพเขียนที่มีราคาสูงที่สุดในปัจจุบันคือภาพ "Salvator Mundi" ที่เขียนโดยเลโอนาร์โด ดา วินชี จิตรกรชาวอิตาลีเมื่อประมาณปี ค.ศ. 1500 ขายในปี ค.ศ. 2017 ด้วยราคาประมาณ 450 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ
