ปลาผีตุ่น (อังกฤษ : White knifefish, Oddball knifefish, White trumpet knifefish ; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ : Orthosternarchus tamandua ) ปลาน้ำจืด ชนิด หนึ่ง ในวงศ์ปลาแบล็คโกสต์ (Apteronotidae)
จัดเป็นปลาเพียงชนิดเดียวเท่านั้นที่อยู่ในสกุล Orthosternarchus โดยที่ปลาชนิดนี้ถูกค้นพบโดย จอร์จ อัลเบิร์ต บุลเลเยอร์ ในปี ค.ศ. 1880 โดยใช้ชื่อครั้งแรกว่า Sternarchus tamandu ซึ่งคำว่า tamandua ซึ่งเป็นชื่อชนิดนั้นมาจากภาษาตูเปียนคำว่า tamanduá ซึ่งหมายถึง "ตัวกินมด " เนื่องจากมีจมูกและปากที่ยาวเป็นท่อเหมือนกัน
มีรูปร่างเหมือนกับปลาชนิดอื่น ๆ ในวงศ์เดียวกัน แต่มีจุดเด่นคือ มีลำตัวสีขาว ซีดตลอดทั้งตัว โดยไม่มีสีอื่นแซม เหมือนภาวะผิวเผือก และตา ได้ลดรูปลงจนมีขนาดเล็กมาก เป็นจุด เล็ก ๆ เหมือนปลาถ้ำ เนื่องจากไม่ได้ใช้ประโยชน์ และมีช่วงจมูกและปากที่ยาวเหมือนท่อหรือทรัมเป็ต ช่องปากเป็นเพียงช่องเล็ก ๆ
มีความยาวเต็มที่ประมาณ 44 เซนติเมตร อาศัยอยู่ในส่วนลึกของแม่น้ำ ที่ขุ่นและเชี่ยวมากในทวีปอเมริกาใต้ แถบประเทศเปรู แต่จะไม่พบในป่า ที่น้ำท่วม มีพฤติกรรมชอบว่ายน้ำ ลอยตัวอยู่นิ่ง ๆ กินอาหารที่เป็นสิ่งมีชีวิต เล็ก ๆ ที่ลอยอยู่ในกระแสน้ำเท่านั้น โดยใช้กระแสไฟฟ้า ที่สร้างขึ้นเป็นเครื่องหาอาหารและนำทาง
จัดเป็นปลาที่ไม่อาจทำอันตรายต่อปลาตัวอื่นหรือสัตว์อื่นใดได้ และค่อนข้างจะบอบบาง อ่อนแอ และว่ายน้ำได้ช้ามาก นิยมเลี้ยงกันเป็นปลาสวยงาม ด้วยความแปลกตา ซึ่งมีราคาซื้อขายกันที่แพงมาก
