สกุลซีสโทมัส เป็นสกุลของปลาน้ำจืดสกุลหนึ่ง ในวงศ์ปลาตะเพียน (Cyprinidae) ใช้ชื่อสกุลว่า Systomus (/ซีส-โท-มัส/)
เป็นปลาพื้นเมืองที่พบได้ในเขตร้อน ของทวีปเอเชีย เป็นปลาที่มีขอบท้ายก้านครีบแข็งของครีบหลังมีซี่จักรแข็งแรง ริมฝีปากเรียบบาง มีหนวดที่ริมฝีปากบนสองคู่ เกล็ดในแนวเส้นข้างลำตัวพัฒนาเป็นท่อสมบูรณ์จำนวนระหว่าง 27-34 เกล็ด เกล็ดบนลำตัวแต่ละเกล็ดมีฐานเกล็ดสีดำ แลดูเหมือนลายตามยาวจาง ๆ มีแต้มกลมรี ตามแนวยาวที่ฐานครีบหาง หลายชนิดมีจุดกลมสีดำบริเวณจุดเริ่มต้นของครีบหลัง มักพบแถบสีดำบริเวณขอบบนและล่างของครีบหาง
