การทอดไมตรี (อังกฤษ: Rapprochement) เป็นคำที่ใช้ในวิชาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ มีรากศัพท์มาจากภาษาฝรั่งเศสว่า rapprocher หมายถึง "การนำมาร่วมกัน" เป็นการฟื้นสัมพันธไมตรีระหว่างสองประเทศ ในทางด้านการเมืองแล้ว การทอดไมตรีเป็นการผสมร่วมกันของความแตกต่างในปัจจัยทางการเมือง ยกตัวอย่างเช่น การทอดไมตรีระหว่างสหรัฐอเมริกา ในสมัยประธานาธิบดี ริชาร์ด นิกสัน กับสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน นับตั้งแต่ ค.ศ. 1972 เป็นต้นมา
