ดิ อะเมซิ่ง เรซ เอ็น ดิสคัฟเวอรี แชนแนล (สเปน: The Amazing Race En Discovery Channel; อังกฤษ: The Amazing Race on Discovery Channel หรือในบางครั้งรู้จักกันในชื่อ ดิ อะเมซิ่ง เรซ ลาติน อเมริกา) เป็นเกมโชว์ประเภทเรียลลิตี้ทางโทรทัศน์ในเวอร์ชันของ ลาติน อเมริกา ที่สร้างมาจากเรียลลิตี้โชว์ชื่อดังของสหรัฐอเมริกา ที่ชื่อ ดิ อะเมซิ่ง เรซ โดย ดิสคัฟเวอรี แชนแนล ลาตินอเมริกา ด้วยความร่วมมือของดิสนีย์ รายการนี้จะมีผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 11 ทีม ทีมละ 2 คนซึ่งรู้จักกันมาก่อนแล้ว ทำการแข่งขันโดยเดินทางรอบลาตินอเมริกา โดยทีมที่ชนะจะได้รับเงินรางวัล 250,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐอเมริกา ข้อแตกต่างเล็กน้อยสำหรับเวอร์ชันนี้คือ Routmaker ได้ถูกเปลี่ยนเป็นสี น้ำเงิน-ดำและซองคำใบ้ได้ถูกเปลี่ยนเป็นสีน้ำงินแทนสีเหลืองดั่งเดิม รวมถึงชื่อทีมที่ขึ้นในรายการจะตามด้วยธงประเทศของตนเองด้วย การเดิทางทั้งหมดผ่าน 1 ทวีปโดยไม่ได้ออกนอกทวีปอเมริกาใต้แต่อย่างใด รวมถึงเป็น ดิ อะเมซิ่ง เรซ เวอร์ชันที่ 3 ถัดจากบราซิลและอิสราเอล ที่เส้นชัยนั้นไม่ได้อยู่ในประเทศแรกที่ออกเดินทาง ปัจจุบันยังคงผลิตฤดูกาลถัดๆ มาอยู่เรื่อยๆ และในฤดูกาลที่ 3 หลังจากเปลี่ยนช่องที่ทำการออกอากาศในฤดูกาลที่ 3 เป็นต้นมารายการจึงได้กลับไปใช้ Routmaker สีมาตรฐานของต้นฉบับ คือ เหลือง-แดงและซองคำใบ้สีเหลือง

สำหรับฤดูกาลแรกนี้เปิดรับสมัครผู้เข้าแข่งขันเป็นชาวอเมริกาใต้ทั้งหมดหรือผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ในทวีปอเมริกาใต้มาเป็นเวลานาน โดยอาจเป็นบุคคลที่มีเชื้อชาติอื่นก็ได้ เช่นเดียวกับการคัดเลือกของ ดิ อะเมซิ่ง เรซ เอเชีย และใบสมัครได้ประกาศออกมาตั้งแต่วันที่ 17 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2551 ไปจนถึงวันที่ 31 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2552 และคาดว่าจะออกอาการทางช่อง ดิสคัฟเวอรี แชนแนล ในแถบ ลาตินอเมริกา และหมู่เกาะในทะเลแคริบเบียนในช่วงปลายปี พ.ศ. 2552 เป็นจำนวน 13 ตอน โดยเริ่มออกอากาศ 20 กันยายน 2552 และมีพิธ๊กรประจำรายการคือ แฮริส วิดเบ็ค ซึ่งเป็น 1 ในผู้สื่อข่าวของสำนักข่าว ซีเอ็นเอ็น อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนลประจำทวีปอเมริกาใต้

• สีน้ำเงินตัวหนา หมายถึง ทีมนั้นๆ มาถึงจุดพักเป็นทีมสุดท้ายในเลกที่ไม่มีการคัดออก แต่จะต้องทำภารกิจเพิ่มในด่านถัดไปเรียกว่า "สปีด บัมพ์"
• เครื่องหมาย > สีเหลือง หมายถึง ทีมนั้นๆ ใช้คำสั่งพักทีมอื่นแข่งขันชั่วคราว (Yield) ; < หมายถึง ทีมนั้นๆ ถูกพักการแข่งขันชั่วคราว ;<> หมายถึง เลกที่มีกฎการสั่งพักแต่ไม่มีทีมไหนใช้

เครื่องหมายต่างๆในการแข่งขัน

เครื่องหมาย	คำอธิบาย
	Route Marker เป็นสัญลักษณ์ธงสีแดงและสีเหลือง เป็นเครื่องหมายประจำสถานที่ที่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถค้นหาคำสั่งต่อๆ ไป
	Route Infomation (ข้อมูลเส้นทาง) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ตัวบอกเส้นทางที่ไปยังจุดหมายถัดไป ทีมจะต้องปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งที่ให้ไว้อย่างเคร่งครัด มิฉะนั้นจะถูกทำโทษปรับเวลาขั้นต่ำในการลงโทษ 30 นาทีบวกกับเวลาที่ได้เปรียบจากการเดินทางที่ผิดไปจากคำสั่ง
	Detour (ทางแยก) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ตัวเลือกระหว่างภารกิจที่แตกต่างกันสองประการที่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันต้องเลือกทำให้สำเร็จ ภารกิจทั้ง 2 อย่างนั้นมีข้อดีและข้อเสียในตัวมันเองฉะนั้นควรเลือกที่คิดว่าทั้งทีมถนัดเพื่อทำงานให้เสร็จโดยเร็ว จึงจะได้รับคำสั่งต่อๆ ไป ถ้าหากโดนคำสั่งย้อนกลับ ทีมจะต้องกลับมาทำ Detour อีกอันที่ไม่ได้เลือกทำแต่แรก และกลายเป็นว่าจะต้องทำทั้งสองอันนั่นเอง (ถ้าทำไม่สำเร็จจะถูกปรับ 24 ชั่วโมงแต่ในฤดูกาลที่ 17 เป็นต้นมาจะถูกปรับแค่ 6 ชั่วโมงเท่านั้น)
	Roadblock (อุปสรรค) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ภารกิจที่อนุญาตให้สมาชิกเพียงคนเดียวในทีมสามารถทำได้เท่านั้นและเมื่อเลือกแล้วจะไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนคนทำได้ ผู้เข้าแข่งขันที่เลือกทำนั้นต้องทำงานอุปสรรคนั้นให้สำเร็จก่อน จึงจะได้รับคำสั่งต่อๆ ไป (หลังจากฤดูกาลที่ 5 ได้กำหนดตลอดระยะเวลาการแข่งขันให้ทำได้ไม่เกินคนละ 6-7 ครั้ง โดยมากแล้วจะแบ่งในสัดส่วนพอๆ กันและถ้าทำไม่สำเร็จจะถูกปรับ 4 ชั่วโมง)
	Fast Forward (ทางด่วน) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่อนุญาตให้ทีมใดก็ตามที่เสร็จสิ้นภารกิจ 1 อย่างเป็นพิเศษ ตามคำสั่งของ Fast Forward เรียบร้อยแล้ว จะสามารถเดินทางต่อไปยัง Pit Stop หรือจุดหมายปลายทางสุดท้ายของด่านนั้นๆ ได้ทันที โดยไม่ต้องผ่านด่านใดๆ อีกในระหว่างทาง สิทธิ์ในการใช้สัญลักษณ์นี้ จะให้เฉพาะกับทีมแรกที่สามารถหาและเสร็จสิ้นภารกิจ Fast Forward เท่านั้นและตลอดการแข่งขันทีมๆ นั้นจะใช้สิทธิ์นี้ได้เพียงครั้งเดียวเท่านั้น ยกเว้นในกฏ Intersection จะสามารถทำ Fast Forward ร่วมกันกับอีกทีมที่จับคู่ได้ถึงแม้ว่าจะเป็น Fast Forward ครั้งที่ 2 ก็ตาม (การใช้ Fast Forward ครั้งที่ 2 เกิดขึ้นได้น้อยมาก) อย่างไรก็ตาม การได้บัตรทางด่วนนี้ ยังคงไม่รับประกันว่าจะไม่ตกรอบ ถ้ายังคงมาถึงเป็นทีมสุดท้าย (มีโอกาสเกิดขึ้นได้น้อยมากๆ)
	Express Pass (บัตรผ่านเร่งด่วน) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ให้กับทีมที่มีบัตรผ่านนี้สามารถข้ามงานใดๆ ก็ได้ที่ไม่ต้องการทำ 1 งาน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นงานรูปแบบใดก็ตามและผ่านไปเลยโดยไม่ต้องมีอะไรเป็นการแลกเปลี่ยน ต่างจาก Fast Forward ที่ข้ามทั้งเลกและต้องทำภารกิจตามที่กำหนด 1 อย่างก่อน (บัตรนี้จะถูกให้กับทีมที่เข้ามาเป็นที่ 1 ในเลกแรกของการแข่งขันซึ่งใช้ได้ถึงเลก 8 จาก 12)
	Salvage Pass (บัตรกอบกู้) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ให้กับทีมที่มีบัตรผ่านนี้สามารถช่วยทีมที่มาถึงเป็นลำดับสุดท้ายไม่ให้ถูกคัดออกได้ หรือจะใช้เพื่อเป็นการช่วยตัวเองไม่ให้ถูกคัดออกด้วยก็ได้ ในกรณีที่ต้องเผชิญหน้ากับการถูกคัดออก (ในเวอร์ชั่นอเมริการจะใช้คำว่า The Save)
	Yield (ถ่วงเวลา) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่อนุญาตให้ทีมที่เลือกใช้สัญลักษณ์นี้มีโอกาสสั่งอีกทีมหนึ่งที่มาที่หลังพวกเขาให้หยุดแข่งได้ช่วงระยะเวลาหนึ่ง ทีมที่เลือกใช้สัญลักษณ์นี้ สามารถใช้ในการออกคำสั่งกับอีกทีมหนึ่งได้เพียงครั้งเดียวเท่านั้นตลอดการแข่งขัน (ไม่นับรวมกับคำสั่ง ย้อนกลับ)
	U-Turn (ย้อนกลัับ) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่อนุญาตให้ทีมที่เลือกใช้สัญลักษณ์นี้มีโอกาสสั่งอีกทีมหนึ่งที่มาที่หลังพวกเขาให้กลับไปทำงาน Detour อีกงานที่ไม่ได้เลือกทำ ทีมที่เลือกใช้สัญลักษณ์นี้ สามารถใช้ในการออกคำสั่งกับอีกทีมหนึ่งได้เพียงครั้งเดียวเท่านั้นตลอดการแข่งขัน (ไม่นับรวมกับคำสั่ง ถ่วงเวลา)
	Intersection (จุดร่วมมือ) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่สั่งให้ทีมต้องจับคู่กับอีกทีมทำภารกิจทุกๆ อย่างร่วมกัน ถ้ามาถึงจุดที่มีคำสั่งแต่ยังไม่มีทีมร่วมงานก็จำเป็นต้องรอและเมื่อมีคำสั่งยกเลิก Intersection จึงจะทำการแข่งขันแบบปกติได้
	Speed Bump (งานเพิ่มเติม) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่สั่งให้ทีมที่ได้สัญลักษณ์นี้ต้องทำงานเพิ่มอีก 1 งานในเลกถัดไป เนื่องจากเป็นการลงโทษที่มาถึงเป็นทีมสุดท้ายแต่ไม่ถูกคัดออกในเลกที่แล้ว โดยจะเป็นงานพิเศษ ที่ไม่เหมื่อนกับงานทั่วไปที่แข่งในเลกนั้นๆ ทำให้ทีมที่ได้บทลงโทษนี้ ทำงานเพิ่มมากกว่าปกติอีก 1 งานในเลกนั้น คล้ายกับ Handicap ต่างกันตรงที่เป็นงานใหม่เพิ่มขึ้นมาต่างหาก
	Handicap (เพิ่มจำนวนชิ้นงาน) เป็นสัญลักษณ์ที่สั่งให้ทีมที่ได้สัญลักษณ์นี้ต้องเพิ่มจำนวนชิ้นงานมากกว่าปกติ เนื่องจากเป็นการลงโทษที่มาถึงเป็นทีมสุดท้ายแต่ไม่ถูกคัดออกในเลกที่แล้ว เช่น ในงานธรรมดาทั่วไปปกติให้ทำ 50 ชิ้นแต่ทีมที่ได้สัญลักษณ์นี้ต้องทำ 75 ชิ้น เป็นต้น คล้ายกับ Speed Bump ต่างกันตรงที่เป็นงานปกติทั่วไปในเลกนั้นๆ เพียงแต่เพิ่มจำนวน
	Pit Stop (จุดหยุดพัก) เป็นสัญลักษณ์จุดหมายปลายทางสุดท้ายของการแข่งขันในแต่ละด่านโดยทีมที่มาถึงเป็นทีมสุดท้าย อาจจะถูกคัดออก หรือบางครั้งจะมีการเตือนในคำใบ้สุดท้ายก่อนถึงจุดพักเลยว่า ทีมที่มาถึงเป็นทีมสุดท้าย จะถูกคัดออก

รางวัล

ในบางเลก ทางรายการจะมีรางวัลให้กับผู้เข้าแข่งขันที่สามารถเข้าเส้นชัยได้เป็นทีมแรก สำหรับเงินรางวัลสนับสนุนโดยวีซ่าอิเล็กตรอน

• เลก 1 - เงินรางวัล 200 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐสำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม
• เลก 2 - เงินรางวัล 200 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐสำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม
• เลก 3 - เงินรางวัล 300 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐสำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม
• เลก 4 - เงินรางวัล 300 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐและเครื่องเล่นเกมนินเท็นโด้สำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม
• เลก 5 - เงินรางวัล 300 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐและเครื่องเล่นเกมนินเท็นโด้วีสำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม
• เลก 6 - เงินรางวัล 400 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐและเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์มือถือ (ปาล์ม) สำหรับสมาชิกแต่ละคนในทีม

The Detour in this leg was Flores o Árbol ("Flowers or Tree"). In Flores, teams made their way to Lago Negro. Once in the lake, teams had to take a swan boat and paddle to the other shore to pick up from the villager a basket of flowers. Then they had to go back to the dock and give the basket to the female villager to receive their next clue. In Árbol, teams made their way to the Aldeia Do Papai Noel. Once in the village, teams searched in the "Arvore dos desejos" for a "Mimo" with their names written on it, which they needed to give it to the Goblin to receive their next clue.

Aditional tasks

• In Garganta do Diabo Falls, teams were instructed to find their bikes in Espaço Naipi and then ride to Mirante 2. There, they needed to walk to Canion Iguaçu entrance. In the entrance was the cluebox with their next clue.
• In Canion Iguaçu, teams had to rappel down to the Iguaçu River shore. At the shore, teams needed to raft 4 กิโลเมตร (2.5 ไมล์) down the river to Puerto Macuco dock. The cluebox with their next clue is waiting at the dock.
• In Mini Mundo, teams had to find five characters that are hidden in some models of the park. They needed to match the characters with the places where they were hiding. After it was approved, teams received their next clue.

In the Roadblock, one team member had to search a bag with a goalkeeper clothing inside, once wore it the person had to defend a penalty kick. If they didn't defend a penalty kick in 5 minutes, they should let another team try to complete the task. In this Speed Bump, Ariel & Nora had to take a van and deliver 5 packs of papers in some newsstands. The Detour was a choice between Caballos o Caballerizas ("Horses or Stables"). In Caballos, teams had to go for a ride by horse on the Arena and pick up two flags, once they give the flags to the handler to receive their next clue. In Caballerizas, teams had to clean a stable completely and take the mess in a wheelbarrow to the fertilizer's reservoir, once cleaned the handler gave their next clue.

Aditional tasks

In the Fast Forward, teams had to make their way to Monumento al Ejército de los Andes, once there, they had to put in order 1000 toys soldiers, and make 25 rows with 40 soldiers each one, when they finish a soldier gave their next clue. In the Roadblock, one team member had to search in a vineyard a box with wine bottles inside. They had to take 18 bottles and label them, and put in their boxes, when they finish, they would receive the next clue. The Detour was a choice between Aire o Piedra ("Air or Stone"). In Aire teams had to do a zipline. In Piedra teams received a stone with a copy of a rock drawing, they had to search that drawing on the hill.

• In Feria de Puente del Inca, teams had to write 2 letters with 50 words to their families, once finished the postman gave their next clue.

In the Roadblock, one team member had to jump from a platform to the Pacific Ocean. Then, they had to swim 30 meters below the platform, once finished, the instructor would give them the next clue. The Detour was a choice between Mariscos o Carnada ("Seafood or Bait"). In Mariscos, teams had to eat an entire plate of "Mariscal Frio", once finished, they would receive the next clue. In Carnada, teams had to place the bait in 100 fish hook, once finished, they would receive the next clue.

• In Baquedano Metro Station, teams had to find the Bibliometro Bookstore, then they needed to ask for a copy of the book "Historia de la vida privada en Chile" to receive their next clue.
• Once in Valparaiso, teams had to find the site of the book cover, Paseo Atkinson. Once in that place, they needed to find a girl identical to the one of the book cover, to receive their next clue.
• In Caleta Portales, teams had to find an imitator of Diego Maradona, to receive their next clue.

In the Roadblock, one team member had to make a big bubble, drive a robot and transport two stones, then in a Gyroscope they had to read loud a famous phrase, once finished the instructor gave their next clue. The Detour in this leg was Dulce o Salado ("Sweet or Salted"). In Dulce, teams had to buy a pack of good luck cookie and look for a cookie with a message inside, then they had to find that message in the sidewalk quarries, when they found they had to show to the chinese master to receive the next clue. In Salado teams had to go to a chinese-peruvian restaurant called 'Chifa' and cut two ducks, hack 6 pounds of onion and ten heads of garlic, following a recipe, once finished the cook gave the next clue.

In this Leg's Roadblock, one team member had to bungee jump off the highest Bungee Jump on South America. The Detour in this leg was Hojas o Granos ("Leaves or Grains"). In Hojas teams had to search three Coca Leaves between many different leaves, once found they had to give to the Master Healer to receive the next clue. In Granos teams had to transport 100 maize cobs to a large course, once completed the Cacique gave the next clue.

• Upon arrival at Hotel Europa, teams signed up for one of three departure times, all of which were the following morning.
• In Plazoleta de San Blas teams had to find Ñusta Maria to receive the next.
• In Puente Pisaq teams had to take a local transportation, then go to the marketplace of Pisac, there they had to search a stall for the next clue.
• In Puesto de Lanas, teams had to look for a Huayruro with the word 'Peru', inside balls of wool and search the Quispe's house, once gave the seed Quispe would give the next clue.

In Táctil teams had to receive a chocolate massage, once finished the massage they reveived the next clue. In this Speed Bump, Casilda & Casilda had to perform a Colombian Tejo to receive the next clue.

• In Coloma Farm, teams had to fill, sew, then weight 4 coffee bags with 44 pounds (20 kg) each one to receive the next clue.
• Teams had to search a ETB Phone Booth, then call a number to listen to the next clue.

In Palas, teams had to create the picture of a seahorse in the sand, they had to do exactly as an example, once created the sculptor would give the next clue. In Remos, teams had to row a kayak and get to a boat in the sea, there the sailor would give the next clue. In this Speed Bump, Matías & Tamara went to Manuel Antonio Hotel, there they had to clean up six hotel rooms, once completed the chamberlain gave the next clue.

• In Espadilla Norte Beach, teams had to solve a math theoretical challenge, in the challenge they had to discover the heavier coconut among 8 coconuts using twice a weighing scale, they had to tell the solution to receive the next clue.
• In the Planetarium at University of Costa Rica, teams had to order the planets of the solar system by their distance from the sun, from nearest to farthest, once in order they received the next clue.

In Altura, teams had 3 minutes to climb a greasy pole; each team member had to reach one flag on the top of the pole. Once they had collected two flags, they would receive the next clue. In Profundidad, teams had 3 minutes to dive into a shark tank, where each team member had to find a marked stone on the bottom of the tank; once they had collected the two marked stones, they would receive the next clue.
