นกเป็ดผี (อังกฤษ: grebe, เสียงอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ: /ˈɡriːb/) เป็นนกน้ำในอันดับ Podicipediformes ที่มีการกระจายพันธุ์อย่างกว้างขวาง ปกติพบตามแหล่งน้ำจืด บางครั้งในฤดูอพยพและฤดูหนาวอาจพบในทะเล ในอันดับนี้มีเพียงวงศ์เดียวคือ Podicipedidae ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย 22 สปีชีส์ใน 6 สกุลที่ยังมีอยู่ในปัจจุบัน

นกเป็ดผี มีลักษณะคล้ายเป็ด แต่มิใช่เป็ด หากแต่มีกลับความใกล้ชิดกับนกฟลามิงโก (Phoenicopteridae) เสียมากกว่า ทั้งที่มิได้มีสรีระรูปร่างใกล้เคียงกันเลย เหตุที่ได้ชื่อว่า "นกเป็ดผี" มาจากพฤติกรรมที่มักผลุบหายลงไปใต้น้ำอย่างรวดเร็ว ก่อนจะไปโผล่อีกจุดหนึ่งซึ่งมักอยู่ห่างออกไปราวกับผีหลอก นกเป็ดผีเป็นนกที่วิวัฒนาการมาเพื่อการว่ายน้ำและดำน้ำโดยเฉพาะ มีความเชี่ยวชาญในการจับปลามาก ตลอดทั้งชีวิตแทบไม่เคยขึ้นจากน้ำเลย ยกเว้นยามเมื่อต้องบินและวางไข่เท่านั้น
