บาซิลลัสทูริงจิเอนซิส (อังกฤษ: Bacillus thuringiensis) หรือ บีที เป็นแบคทีเรียที่อาศัยอยู่ในดิน ซึ่งสามารถใช้เป็นทางเลือกในการกำจัดศัตรูพืชแบบชีวภาพได้ บีที ก็มีอยู่ไส้ของหนอนผีเสื้อหลายๆชนิดทั้งผีเสื้อและผีเสื้อกลางคืน
ในระยะการออกสปอร์ บีทีหลายๆสายพันธุ์จะผลิตโปรตีนผลึก (proteinaceous inclusions) พร้อมกับโปรตีนคริสตัล (Crystal, Cry toxin) ซึ่งเป็น ประเภท δ-endotoxins โปรตีนนี้เองที่มีฤทธิเป็นสารกำจัดแมลง บีทีท็อกชินหรือครายท็อกซิน (Bt toxin or Cry toxin) เป็นสารฆ่าแมลงที่ไม่มีอันตรายต่อมนุษย์ เนื่องจากว่า บีที จะทำงานในระบบกระเพาะซื่งเป็นเบส ซื่งกระเพาะแบบนี้ไม่พบในกลุ่มสัตว์ที่มีกระดูกสันหลังเช่นมนุษย์ ดังนั้น จึงไม่มีอันตรายต่อสัตว์เลี้ยงทั่วไปและมนุษย์ ในปัจจุบัน มี บีทีท็อกซินอยู่ทั้งหมด 57 ชนิด แต่ละชนิดมีผลต่อแมลงแตกต่างกัน ตัวอย่างเช่น Cry1Aa และ Cry2A มีผลต่อผีเสื้อและผีเสื้อกลางคืน ส่วน Cry5 มีผลต่อแมลงประเภทยุง บีทีจะทำงานก็ต่อเมื่อได้รับการบริโภคเข้าไปในแมลง ดังนั้น จึงมีผลเฉพาะแมลงบางกลุ่ม ทำให้แมลงที่ไม่ใช่ศัตรูพืชไม่ได้ถูกกำจัดไปด้วย จึงเป็นผลดีต่อระบบนิวเศน์
