ผลม่อนไข่พร้อมรับประทานในลาว
ม่อนไข่ (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Pouteria campechiana) เป็นผลไม้เนื้อสีทอง ภาคเหนือและภาคอีสานเรียกม่อนไข่ ราชบุรีเรียกว่า ลูกท้อพื้นบ้าน ปราจีนบุรีเรียกว่าท้อเขมร เพชรบูรณ์เรียกทิสซา ฟิลิปปินส์ เรียก chesa ศรีลังกาเรียก Laulu Lavulu หรือ Lawalu มีถิ่นกำเนิดมาจากประเทศเม็กซิโก กัวเตมาลา บราซิล และเอลซัลวาดอร์
ม่อนไข่เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลาง ใบบาง มัน เรียวแหลม ลำต้นมียางสีขาว ก้านอ่อนเป็นสีน้ำตาล ดอกสีครีม มีกลิ่นหอม ผลสุกสีเหลืองอ่อน เปลือกบาง เนื้อผลสีเหลืองสด เหนียวคล้ายแป้งทำขนม ภายในผลมีเมล็ดขนาดใหญ่ รสหวาน เนื้อผลนิ่มคล้ายไข่แดง
การใช้ประโยชน์ ม่อนไข่นอกจากกินเป็นผลไม้สดแล้ว ยังใช้ทำขนม เช่น ทาร์ต คัสตาร์ด แยม เยลลี แพนเค้ก หรืออบให้สุก ชาวฟลอริดานิยมรับประทานกับเกลือ พริกไทย น้ำมะนาวหรือมายองเนส ทางสมุนไพรผลสุกใช้รักษาโรคเลือดออกตามไรฟัน เมล็ดใช้รักษาแผลเน่าเปื่อย เปลือกต้นรักษาอาการไข้ ตัวร้อน ผื่นคัน
