ชีวิตช่วงแรก

รูล เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 29 ตุลาคม 2002 ที่ไอเซิลวอร์ธ กรุงลอนดอน ซึ่งเป็นบ้านเกิดของมารดาของเขา มารดาของเขามีชื่อว่า เคท แวน ไดจ์ค และบิดาของเขาเป็นชาวนิวซีแลนด์ที่เกิดที่สหราชอาณาจักร ราล์ฟ แวน ไดจ์ค ในปี 2006 ครอบครัวของเขาได้ย้ายมาอยู่ที่ซิดนีย์ ประเทศออสเตรเลีย

2018 - ปัจจุบัน: Ready และ Free Time อีพี

ในวันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2018 รูลได้แสดงที่ Pop Spring Festival ที่โตเกียว ซึ่งเป็นงานมีทแอนด์กรีท ครั้งแรกของรูล และในวันที่ 4 เมษายน รูลได้แสดงในพิธีเปิดกีฬาเครือจักรภพครั้งที่ 21 ในวันที่ 19 เมษายน ได้ปล่อยมิวสิกวิดีโอ "Don't Tell Me"

ในวันที่ 10 มีนาคม 2019 รูลได้ปล่อยซิงเกิ้ล "Painkiller" ซึ่งเป็นซิงเกิ้ลหลักจากอีพี Free Time หลังจากนั้นในวันที่ 9 สิงหาคม ได้ปล่อย "Face to Face" พร้อมกับมิวสิกวิดีโอ ซึ่งถ่ายทำระหว่างทัวร์คอนเสิร์ตที่ประเทศฝรั่งเศส และในวันที่ 13 กันยายน ได้ปล่อยอีพีที่สอง Free Time
