สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรที่ 4 แห่งตาฮีตี (อังกฤษ: Queen Pōmare IV of Tahiti) หรือพระนามอย่างเป็นทางการ ไอมาตา โปมาเรที่ 4 วาฮีเน โอ ปูนูอาเตราอีตูอา (อังกฤษ: Aimata Pōmare IV Vahine-o-Punuateraʻitua) เป็นสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถแห่งตาฮีตีตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2360 จนกระทั่งปี พ.ศ. 2410 พระองค์ทรงเป็นพระมหากษัตริย์พระองค์ที่ 4 แห่งราชอาณาจักรตาฮีตี

ครอบครัว

สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรที่ 4 เป็นพระราชธิดาในพระเจ้าโปมาเรที่ 2 แห่งตาฮีตี กับ เตริโตโอเตไร เตเรโมเอโมเอ พระอัยกาของพระองค์คือพระเจ้าโปมาเรที่ 1 แห่งตาฮีตี พระองค์ทรงครองราชย์เป็นสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถแห่งตาฮีตี หลังจากที่พระเชษฐาของพระองค์สวรรคต ขณะที่พระองค์มีพระชนมายุได้ 14 พรรษา

พระราชประวัติ

ในปีพ.ศ. 2386 ฝรั่งเศสได้ประกาศว่าเกาะตาฮีตีอยู่ภายใต้การอารักขาของฝรั่งเศส และได้แต่งตั้งผู้ว่าการที่ปาเปเอเต สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรพยายามอย่างไร้ผลที่จะส่งสารถึงกษัตริย์แห่งฝรั่งเศสและสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถวิกตอเรียเพื่อขอให้อังกฤษแทรกแซงการครอบครองตาฮีตีของฝรั่งเศส และเนรเทศพระองค์เองไปยังราอีอาเตอาเพื่อเป็นการประท้วง ผลที่ตามมาคือสงครามฝรั่งเศส-ตาฮีตี ซึ่งกินเวลาจากปีพ.ศ. 2386 ถึง พ.ศ. 2390 ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อทุกอาณาจักรในหมู่เกาะโซไซตี ชาวตาฮีตีต้องบาดเจ็บล้มตายเป็นจำนวนมาก แต่ฝ่ายฝรั่งเศสก็สูญเสียไม่น้อย แม้ว่าอังกฤษไม่เคยช่วยชาวตาฮีตี แต่อังกฤษก็ประณามการกระทำของฝรั่งเศสและเกือบจะสงครามระหว่างมหาอำนาจทั้งสองในภูมิภาคแปซิฟิก ความขัดแย้งเหล่านี้จบลงด้วยความพ่ายแพ้ของกองกำลังตาฮีตีที่ป้อมเฟาเตาอา แม้ว่าฝรั่งเศสจะได้รับชัยชนะ แต่พวกเขาก็ไม่สามารถที่จะยึดเกาะเนื่องจากแรงกดดันทางการทูตจากบริเตนใหญ่ ซึ่งประโยชน์ที่บริเตนใหญ่จะได้รับคือ คำสั่งจะได้ข้อยุติสงครามคือการที่พันธมิตรของพระราชินีในฮูอาฮีเน ราอีอาเตอา และบอราบอรา จะได้รับอนุญาตให้รักษาความเป็นอิสระ

ในที่สุดสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรที่ 4 ก็ยอมอ่อนข้อและปกครองภายใต้ฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งปกครองตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2380 จนถึง พ.ศ. 2410 สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรที่ 4 เสด็จสวรรคตเมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2410 ขณะมีพระชนมพรรษาได้ 64 พรรษา พระบรมศพของพระองค์ได้รับการฝังที่สุสานพระราชวงศ์โปมาเร พระเจ้าโปมาเรที่ 5 แห่งตาฮีตี พระราชโอรสจึงครองราชย์ต่อจากพระองค์ ครองราชย์ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2410 จนถึง พ.ศ. 2413

อภิเษกสมรสและรัชทายาท

ในเดือนธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2365 สมเด็จพระราชินีนาถโปมาเรทรงอภิเษกสมรสกับว่าที่กษัตริย์ตาโปอาที่ 2 แห่งตาฮาอาและบอราบอรา การอภิเษกสมรสครั้งนี้จบลงด้วยการหย่าร้าง

ต่อมาพระองค์ก็ทรงอภิเษกสมรสอีกครั้งในวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2375 กับเตนานีอา อารีอีฟาไอเต (10 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2363 - 6 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2416) โดยพระสวามีพระองค์ที่สอง มีพระราชย์โอรสธิดาได้แก่

  1. พระราชโอรส (1833 สิ้นพระชนม์ในวัยเยาว์)
  2. เฮนรี โปมาเร (สิงหาคม 1835 สิ้นพระชนม์ในวัยเยาว์)
  3. อารีอีอาอูเอ (12 สิงหาคม 1838 - 10 พฤษภาคม 1856) มกุฎราชกุมารแห่งตาฮีตี
  4. โปมาเรที่ 5 (3 พฤศจิกายน 1839 - 12 มิถุนายน 1891) ต่อมาได้ครองราชย์เป็นพระมหากษัตริย์ตาฮีตีพระองค์ต่อมา
  5. เตรีอีมาเอวารูอาที่ 2 (23 พฤษภาคม 1841 - 12 กุมภาพันธ์ 1873) ต่อมาได้ครองราชย์เป็นสมเด็จพระราชินีนาถแห่งบอราบอรา

ตัวโมตู
