หัวนม

หัวนม เป็นบริเวณที่ยกขึ้นของเนื้อเยื่อบริเวณผิวเต้านม สำหรับให้นมจากเต้าไหลออกผ่านท่อน้ำนม น้ำนมสามารถไหลผ่านหัวนมอย่างเรื่อย ๆ หรือสามารถพ่นออกได้โดยการหดตัวของกล้ามเนื้อเรียบที่เกิดขึ้นตามระบบท่อลำเลียง หัวนมถูกล้อมรอบด้วยวงปานนมซึ่งมักเป็นสีเข้มกว่าผิวรอบข้าง ซึ่งมักจะเรียกว่าจุกนมเมื่อพูดถึงหัวนมที่ไม่ใช่ของมนุษย์ จุกนมยังสามารถใช้เพื่ออธิบายปากที่มีความยืดหยุ่นของขวดนมเด็ก ส่วนในมนุษย์ หัวนมทั้งของผู้ชายและผู้หญิงสามารถเร้าอารมณ์ในฐานะส่วนหนึ่งของการกระตุ้นทางเพศ โดยในหลายวัฒนธรรม หัวนมของผู้หญิงเป็นสิ่งบ่งเพศ หรือ "...ถือว่าเป็นวัตถุทางเพศและได้รับการประเมินในด้านลักษณะทางกายภาพและความเซ็กซี่"
