การเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคม (อังกฤษ: social distancing) หรือ มาตรการเพิ่มระยะห่างทางกายภาพ (physical distancing) คือชุดการดำเนินการควบคุมการติดเชื้อโดยไม่ใช้ยา เพื่อหยุดหรือชะลอการแพร่กระจายของโรคติดต่อ วัตถุประสงค์ของการเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคมคือการลดโอกาสการสัมผัสระหว่างคนที่เป็นพาหะกับคนอื่น ๆ ที่ไม่ได้ติดเชื้อ เพื่อลดการแพร่เชื้อ การเจ็บป่วย และสุดท้าย การเสียชีวิต

การเว้นระยะห่างทางสังคมจะมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุดเมื่อการติดเชื้อนั้นสามารถแพร่ผ่านการสัมผัสฝอยละออง (การไอหรือการจาม), การสัมผัสทางกายภาพโดยตรงซึ่งรวมถึงการสัมผัสทางเพศ, การสัมผัสทางกายภาพทางอ้อม (เช่น การสัมผัสวัตถุที่ปนเปื้อนหรือเป็นพาหะนำเชื้อโรค) หรือการแพร่กระจายทางอากาศ (หากจุลชีพสามารถอยู่รอดในอากาศเป็นเวลานาน)
