ปลาออสการ์ (อังกฤษ: Oscar fish, Red belvet, Velvet cichlid, Marbled cichlid, Peacock-eyed cichilld, Tiger oscar, Peacock cichilld; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Astronotus ocellatus) เป็นปลาน้ำจืดชนิดหนึ่ง อยู่ในวงศ์ปลาหมอสี (Cichlidae) เป็นปลาพันธุ์พื้นเมืองของลุ่มแม่น้ำโอริโนโก, แม่น้ำอะเมซอน และแม่น้ำลา พลาตา ในทวีปอเมริกาใต้อย่างกว้างขวาง เช่น ประเทศบราซิล, โคลอมเบีย, เปรู, เฟรนช์เกียนา, อุรุกวัย, เวเนซุเอลา และอาร์เจนตินา
เป็นปลาที่หากินในบริเวณแหล่งน้ำที่เป็นน้ำตื้นทีมีพื้นท้องน้ำเป็นโคลนปนทรายหรือกรวดทราย ขนาดเมื่อโตเต็มที่ประมาณ 45.7 เซนติเมตร คุณภาพของน้ำในแหล่งที่พบอาศัยมีอุณหภูมิระหว่าง 22-25 องศาเซลเซียส ค่าความเป็นกรดเป็นด่าง (pH) ประมาณ 6.0-8.0
มีรูปร่างแบนข้างและลำตัวป้อม ส่วนหัวค่อนข้างใหญ่ ตาโต ปากกว้าง ริมฝีปากหนา ลำตัวมีสีน้ำตาลอมเขียว ที่ขอบของแผ่นกระดูกปิดเหงือกและด้านล่างของลำตัวมีสีส้มอมแดงหรือส้มจาง ๆ ที่ด้านบนของคอดหางมีจุดกลมสีดำคล้ายลูกตาดำและมีวงสีส้มอมแดงล้อมรอบ เป็นปลาที่ว่ายน้ำช้า กินสัตว์อื่นเป็นอาหารได้หลากหลาย ทั้งสัตว์น้ำชนิดต่าง ๆ และแมลงด้วย
ปลาออสการ์ เป็นปลาที่ใช้บริโภคกันในพื้นถิ่น โดยจะพบวางขายกันในตลาดสด มีชื่อเรียกในภาษาถิ่นว่า Acará-acu และเป็นที่รู้จักกันดีในฐานะการเป็นปลาสวยงาม ซึ่งนิยมเลี้ยงกันมาอย่างยาวนาน จัดเป็นปลาที่มีนิสัยดุร้ายก้าวร้าวชนิดหนึ่ง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในช่วงที่เลี้ยงดูลูกอ่อน ทั้งเพศผู้และเพศเมีย
ในราวต้นพุทธทศวรรษ 2500 ถือเป็นปลาหมอสีชนิดแรก ๆ ที่นำเข้ามาสู่ประเทศไทย ในฐานะปลาสวยงาม ซึ่งมีราคาซื้อขายแพงมาก โดยตกคู่ละ 500 บาท (ราคาทองคำแท่งในขณะนั้นบาทละ 400 บาท)
ปัจจุบัน มีการเพาะเลี้ยงกันจนมีสีสันที่สวยงามกว่าสายพันธุ์ดั้งเดิมมาก เช่น ปลาเผือก, สีเหลืองสดหรือสีทองหรือสีแดงสดทั้งตัว รวมทั้งมีแบบที่มีครีบยาวกว่าปกติด้วย
โดยชื่อ "ออสการ์" นั้นมาจากชื่อกลางของนักมีนวิทยาชาวสวีเดน สเวน ออสการ์ คูลเลนเดอร์ ที่ศึกษาโดยเฉพาะกับปลาในวงศ์ปลาหมอสี
