แอ็มแทร็ก

องค์การขนส่งมวลชนแห่งชาติ หรือ แอ็มแทร็ก, เป็นบริษัทรถไฟขนาดใหญ่ในสหรัฐอเมริกา เริ่มดำเนินการในวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม ค.ศ. 1971 ให้บริการรถไฟ 374 ขบวนต่อวัน ระยะทางรวม 31,474 ไมล์ (51,000 กิโลเมตร) ความเร็ว 150 mph (240 km/h) สถานีปลายทาง 896 สถานี ใน 46 รัฐ และ 3 จังหวัดในประเทศแคนาดา ในปี ค.ศ. 2012 มีสถิติผู้โดยสารรวม 31.2 ล้านคน ทำรายได้ $2.88 พันล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ โดยมีผู้โดยสารร้อยละ 83 เดินทาง 400 ไมล์หรือน้อยกว่า มีสำนักงานที่กรุงวอชิงตัน สหรัฐอเมริกา โดยคำว่า แอ็มแทร็ก มีที่มาจากคำว่า "อเมริกา" และ "แทร็ก" สนธิกัน
