ในพันธุวิศวกรรม gene gun (ปืนยิงยีน) หรือ biolistic particle delivery system เป็นเครื่องส่งดีเอ็นเอ (หรือ transgene ) หรืออาร์เอ็นเอ โปรตีน เข้าไปในเซลล์ ลูกกระสุนเป็นอนุภาคโลหะหนัก ที่เคลือบด้วยยีน ที่ต้องการ เมื่อยิงลูกกระสุนเข้าไปในเซลล์โดยใช้แรงกล ก็เท่ากับส่งยีนเข้าไปในเซลล์ เทคนิคต่าง ๆ ที่ใช้ส่งลูกกระสุนขนาดเล็ก ๆ เพื่อส่งดีเอ็นเอมักเรียกรวม ๆ ว่า biolistics
