เจเอเอ็มเอ หรือ JAMA (The Journal of the American Medical Association) เป็นวารสารการแพทย์ ตรวจสอบโดยผู้ชำนาญในระดับเดียวกัน พิมพ์ 48 ครั้งต่อปี ของสมาคมการแพทย์อเมริกัน (American Medical Association) มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับทุก ๆ ด้านของชีวเวชหรือวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวเวช พิมพ์เนื้อหาหลักเป็นงานวิจัยดั้งเดิมหรืองานปริทัศน์ (หรือการทบทวนวรรณกรรม) และเนื้อหารองอื่น ๆ เช่น รายงานสัปดาห์ของความเจ็บป่วยและการตาย (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) เป็นวารสารที่ตั้งขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2426 (ค.ศ. 1883) หัวหน้าบรรณาธิการปัจจุบันตั้งแต่ 1 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2554 คือ น.พ. ประวัติ

สมาคมการแพทย์อเมริกันเริ่มพิมพ์วารสารในปี 2426 โดยทดแทนวารสาร Transactions of the American Medical Association ต่อมาปี 2503 วารสารจึงได้เปลี่ยนชื่อมาเป็นชื่อปัจจุบันคือ "JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association" แต่มักจะเรียกโดยสามัญว่า JAMA

การเผยแพร่บทความโดยบารัก โอบามา

เมื่อวันที่ 11 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2559 วารสารเจเอเอ็มเอ ตีพิมพ์บทความโดยบารัก โอบามา ในชื่อ "การปฏิรูปการดูแลสุขภาพของสหรัฐ: ความคืบหน้าจนถึงปัจจุบันและขั้นตอนต่อไป (United States Health Care Reform: Progress to Date and Next Steps)" ซึ่งเป็นบทความวิชาการชิ้นแรกที่ตีพิมพ์โดยประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐซึ่งอยู่ในตำแหน่งในขณะนั้น บทความนี้ไม่ได้อยู่ภายใต้การพิชญพิจารณ์โดยการสุ่ม ซึ่งเป็นที่ถกเถียงในการเป็นนโยบายเฉพาะ ที่ประธานาธิบดีในอนาคตสามารถดำเนินการเพื่อปรับปรุงการดำเนินนโยบาย "การปฏิรูปการดูแลสุขภาพแห่งชาติ" ดังกล่าว

การเปลี่ยนนโยบาย

ภาพศิลปะประกอบ

ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2507 ถึง 2556 วารสารเจเอเอ็มเอ ใช้ภาพงานศิลปะบนหน้าปกและมีข้อความแสดงความคิดเห็นของบทความบนภาพงานศิลปะนั้น อ้างอิงจากอดีตบรรณาธิการจอร์จ ลุนด์เบิร์ก (George D. Lundberg) วิธีนี้ถูกออกแบบมาเพื่อเชื่อมโยงมนุษยศาสตร์กับการแพทย์ ในปี 2556 การออกแบบรูปแบบใหม่ได้ย้ายส่วนภาพศิลปะไปเป็นหน้าภายใน และแทนที่ภาพงานศิลปะบนหน้าปกด้วยรายการสารบัญ วัตถุประสงค์ของการออกแบบใหม่คือการสร้างมาตรฐานให้กับรูปลักษณ์ของวารสารทั้งหมดในเว็บไซต์ของสมาคม
