special somatic afferent fiber (SSA) เป็นเส้นใยประสาทนำเข้าที่ส่งข้อมูลจากประสาทสัมผัสพิเศษคือตาหู และหูชั้นใน (การทรงตัว) ส่วนประสาทสมองที่มีเส้นใยประสาท SSA ก็คือ เส้นประสาทตา (2) และ vestibulocochlear nerve (8) แต่ตัวย่อว่า SSA อาจครอบคลุมทั้ง special somatic afferent fiber และ special visceral afferent fiber
