ปลาผมนาง , ปลาโฉมงาม หรือ ปลาโฉมนาง เป็นปลาทะเลสกุลหนึ่ง ใช้ชื่อสกุลว่า Alectis จัดอยู่ในวงศ์ปลาหางแข็ง (Carangidae)
มีรูปร่างทั่วไป คือ ลำตัวสั้น กว้าง แบนข้างมาก คอดหางเล็ก เว้นแต่ที่ส่วนท้ายของเส้นข้างตัว โดยเฉพาะ บริเวณคอดหางเกล็ดอ่อนจะขยายใหญ่เป็นสันแข็งที่ปลายหาง มีกระดูกอ่อนลักษณะเป็นเกล็ดแข็ง 2 อัน โผล่อยู่หน้าครีบก้น ที่สำคัญคือ ต่างก็มีก้านครีบหลังตอนที่ 2 และครีบก้นที่เป็นเส้นยาวมาก ลำตัวผิวหนังสีเงิน เฉพาะใกล้สันหลัง เป็นสีฟ้าอมเทา ในระยะที่เป็นปลาขนาดเล็กจะมีลายพาดขวางเป็นบั้งสีเทาอยู่หลายแถบ เส้นครีบที่เป็นลายยาวมีสีคลํ้าหรือดำคล้ายเส้นผม เรียกว่า "ไอ้เปี๊ยะ" อันเป็นที่มาของชื่อ สันนิษฐานว่าคงเป็นการทำตัวเลียนแบบแมงกะพรุน
ปลาผมนาง โดยมากจะเป็นปลาที่ว่ายน้ำได้แข็งคล้ายหุ่นยนต์ และมีรูปร่างหน้าตาที่ประหลาด แต่ก็เป็นปลาที่ปราดเปรียวว่องไว และมักไม่เข้าใกล้นักดำน้ำหรือนักท่องเที่ยว แตกต่างจากปลากะมง ซึ่งอยู่ในวงศ์เดียวกัน

Alectis alexandrinus (Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1817) – ปลาผมนางอเล็กซานเดรียAlectis ciliaris (Bloch, 1787) – ปลาผมนางลายAlectis indicus (Rüppell, 1830) – ปลาผมนางหน้าตัด, ปลาอีโต้, ปลาโฉมงามอีโต้, ปลาโฉมงามหน้าหัก อาจมีความยาวได้ถึง 80 เซนติเมตร นิยมใช้เป็นปลาเศรษฐกิจ และเลี้ยงกันในพิพิธภัณฑ์สัตว์น้ำ
