ห่วยหงู่ฉิก (ภาษาจีนแต้จิ๋ว) หรือ หวยหนิวซี (ภาษาจีนกลาง) ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Achyranthes bidentata Blume เป็นพืชที่พบในอินเดีย เนปาล จีน และญี่ปุ่น รากด้านนอกเป็นสีเหลืองคล้ายดิน ด้านในเป็นสีเหลืองอ่อน ตำรายาจีนใช้รากทำยาบำรุงตับและไต ลดบวม แก้ปวด ในเนปาลใช้น้ำคั้นจากรากแห้ปวดฟัน เมล็ดใช้เป็นอาหารในยามอดอยาก
สำหรับสตรีวัยที่ยังมีประจำเดือน งู่ฉิกเป็นยาบำรุงสตรีช่วยขับเลือดลม ช่วยแก้อาการ ประจำเดือนมาไม่ปกติ ขาดๆหายๆ ขับประจำเดือน ทำให้ลดการมีเลือดคั่งในมดลูก
