จอห์น โรเบิร์ต โบลตัน (อังกฤษ: John Robert Bolton) เกิด 20 พฤศจิกายน 2491 เป็นนักการทูต ทนายความ และที่ปรึกษาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติของสหรัฐอเมริกาคนที่ 27 และคนปัจจุบัน เขาเริ่มดำรงตำแหน่งที่ปรึกษาความมั่นคงแห่งชาติเมื่อวันที่ 09 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2561 มุมมองทางการเมืองของเขาได้รับการอธิบายว่าเป็นชาวอเมริกันชาตินิยม และอนุรักษ์นิยมด้วย โบลตันทำหน้าที่เป็นเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำสหประชาชาติตั้งแต่เดือนสิงหาคม 2548 ถึงเดือนธันวาคม 2549 โดยได้รับการแต่งตั้งจากประธานาธิบดี จอร์จ ดับเบิลยู. บุช เขาลาออกในช่วงปลายเดือนธันวาคม 2549 เพราะคาดว่าเขาไม่น่าจะได้รับการยินยอมและเห็นชอบ จากวุฒิสมาชิกจากพรรคเดโมแครตที่เพิ่งได้รับเลือกใหม่

ประวัติ
