ปฏิบัติการโอเวอร์ลอร์ด (อังกฤษ: Operation Overlord) เป็นชื่อรหัสของ การรุกรานนอร์ม็องดี คือการรบระหว่างกองทัพฝ่ายอักษะนาซีเยอรมนีที่ประจำการอยู่ในยุโรปตะวันตก กับกองกำลังสัมพันธมิตรกว่า 3 ล้านนายที่ทำการบุกข้ามช่องแคบอังกฤษมาจากฐานที่ตั้งชั่วคราวในแนวรบที่อยู่ทางตอนใต้ของประเทศอังกฤษ (ส่วนใหญ่มาจากเมืองพอร์ทสมัธ) มายังหัวหาดนอร์ม็องดีในฝรั่งเศสที่กองทัพเยอรมันยึดมาได้ เริ่มต้นขึ้นในวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน พ.ศ. 2487 (เรียก ดีเดย์)

เมื่อเช้าวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน กองทัพเรือขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในประวัติศาสตร์โลก ยาตราเข้ามาในอ่าวนอร์ม็องดี บนหาดมีเครื่องกีดขวางมากมาย ทำให้แม้แต่เรือเล็กก็ไม่สามารถเข้าหาตัวหาดได้มากนัก เมื่อขึ้นไปบนหาด ถูกต่อต้านโดยปืนใหญ่ ปืนกลหนัก เครื่องยิงลูกระเบิด และปืนต่อต้านรถถังเป็นจำนวนมาก ทั้งยังมีรั้วลวดหนาม คูดักรถถัง และระเบิดบนหาด ทำให้ทหารเสียชีวิตจำนวนมากก่อนจะยึดหัวหาดได้ โดยเฉพาะที่หาดโอมาฮา
