บทความนี้กล่าวถึงเทศกาลในศาสนาฮินดูและศาสนาซิกข์ สำหรับเทศกาลที่ชื่อคล้ายคลึงกันแต่ไม่เกี่ยวพันกัน ดูที่ วิสาขบูชา

เวสาขี (ชื่ออื่น ๆ เช่น วิสาขี, พิสาขี, ไวสาขี, วสาขี, วิสาข) เป็นเทศกาลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความเชื่อและประวัติศาสตร์ของศาสนาซิกข์ โดยทั่วไปมีการเฉลิมฉลองในวันที่ 13 หรือ 14 เมษายนของทุกปี ถือเป็นเทศกาลสำคัญหนึ่งของศาสนาซิกข์ ชาวปัญจาบในตอนเหนือของอนุทวีปอินเดียถือให้วันเวสาขีเป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ และยังเป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ของชาวซิกข์ เพราะถือเป็นการขึ้น "ยุคสมัยของขาลสา" นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นเทศกาลที่เฉลิมฉลองการเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตของชาวซิกข์และปัญจาบอีกด้วย

เวสาขีเป็นเทศกาลที่มีความเกี่ยวพันกับประวัติศาสตร์ของภูมิภาคปัญจาบในอนุทวีปอินเดียตอนเหนือ ตามประวัติศาสนาซิกข์แล้ว วันเวสาขีนั้นเป็นวันก่อตั้งกองทัพซิกข์ขาลสา และเป็นวันที่จักรพรรดิออรังเซพแห่งจักรวรรดิโมกุลสั่งประหารชีวิตคุรุเตฆหบดูร์ หลังปฏิเสธที่จะเปลี่ยนศาสนาเป็นอิสลาม เหตุการณ์นี้ทำให้คุรุโควินทสิงห์ขึ้นดำรงตำแหน่งคุรุซิกข์ต่อ และตัดสินใจที่จะก่อตั้งกองทัพเพื่อปกป้องศาสนิกชนทั้งของซิกข์และศาสนาอื่น ๆ จากการคุกคาม อันนำมาสู่แนวคิดของขาลสา ชาวซิกข์จะรำลึกถึงทั้งสองเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวซึ่งเกิดขึ้นตรงกันในวันเวสาขี นอกจากนี้ ในสมัยบริติชราช วันเวสาขียังเป็นวันที่เกิดการสังหารหมู่ที่จัลเลียนวลาบาฆ โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ของอาณานิคมอังกฤษที่ปกครองอินเดียในเวลานั้น

ในวันเวสาขี คุรุทวาราจะปรับตกแต่งอย่างสวยงาม และจัดดนตรีกิรทาน (Kirtan) ชาวซิกข์จะร่วมกันเดินทางไปเยี่ยมคุรุทวาราใกล้บ้าน ร่วมงานเทศกาลชุมชนรวมถึงจัด "Nagar Kirtan" และร่วมนั่งรับประทานอาหารและแบ่งปันอาหารกัน ในศาสนาฮินดู ศาสนิกชนบางส่วนถือให้วันเวสาขีนี้เป็นวันปีใหม่ตามปฏิธินสุริยะ (Solar New Year) และเฉลิมฉลองเทศกาลเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิต ศาสนิกชนจะถือโอกาสนี้เพื่อลงอาบน้ำในแม่น้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เช่น แม่น้ำคงคา เข้าโบสถ์พราหมณ์เพื่อประกอบพิธีต่าง ๆ และพบปะกับเพื่อนฝูง ครอบครัว เพื่อรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน เทศกาลนี้มีชื่ออีกหลายชื่อตามท้องถิ่นต่าง ๆ กัน

วันเวสาขีตรงกับวันที่ 13 หรือ 14 เมษายน ของทุกปี เทศกาลเวสาขีเป็นเทศกาลสำคัญของทั้งชาวฮินดูและซิกข์ เทศกาลนี้ตรงกับเทศกาลปีใหม่ท้องถิ่นในภูมิภาคอื่น ๆ บางแห่งทั่วอนุทวีปอินเดีย และในบางบริเวณนอกอินเดียที่ได้รับอิทธิพลฮินดู เช่น บนเกาะบาหลี และ เทศกาลสงกรานต์ ในประเทศบนคาบสมุทรอินโดจีน
