อาร์กติก (อังกฤษ: Arctic) เป็นพื้นที่ในบริเวณขั้วโลกเหนือ ซึ่งบริเวณของอาร์กติกนี้ประกอบไปด้วยพื้นที่บางส่วนของประเทศต่าง ๆ เช่น  แคนาดา,  กรีนแลนด์ (ดินแดนของ เดนมาร์ก),  รัสเซีย,  สหรัฐ ( รัฐอะแลสกา),  ไอซ์แลนด์,  นอร์เวย์,  สวีเดน และ ฟินแลนด์ รวมถึงบริเวณของมหาสมุทรอาร์กติกด้วย

บริเวณพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่ของอาร์กติกจะเป็นพื้นที่กว้าง มหาสมุทรปกคลุมไปด้วยน้ำแข็ง พื้นที่รอบ ๆ ปราศจากพืชพันธุ์และผืนดินก็ปกคลุมไปด้วยน้ำแข็งเช่นเดียวกัน แต่กลับอุดมไปด้วยสิ่งมีชีวิตต่าง ๆ ทั้งที่อาศัยอยู่ในน้ำแข็ง, ปลา ,สัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนม, นก และรวมถึงมนุษย์ด้วย

ตามธรรมชาติของบริเวณอาร์กติกจะเป็นที่ที่แตกต่างจากที่อื่นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด ผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ในอาร์กติกจะมีการปรับตัวและใช้ชีวิตอยู่ท่ามกลางความหนาวเหน็บและธรรมชาติอันโหดร้าย อาร์กติกจะมีความอ่อนไหวได้ง่ายมากจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงต่าง ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นบนโลกของเรา เช่น อุณหภูมิบนโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ความอ่อนไหวได้ง่ายนี้ทำให้อาร์กติกนี้ถูกมองเสมือนเป็นระบบเตือนภัยล่วงหน้าให้แก่โลกของเรา

คำว่า อาร์กติก มากจากภาษากรีกโบราณ αρκτος ซึ่งมีความหมายว่า หมี และยังอ้างอิงไปถึงกลุ่มดาวหมีใหญ่และหมีเล็กที่อยู่ใกล้กับดาวเหนือด้วย
