กลูโคคอร์ติคอยด์

กลูโคคอร์ติคอยด์ (อังกฤษ: glucocorticoid) เป็นฮอร์โมนสเตียรอยด์ชนิดหนึ่ง จัดอยู่ในประเภทคอร์ติโคสเตียรอยด์ สามารถจับกับตัวรับกลูโคคอร์ติคอยด์ซึ่งพบในเซลล์ของสัตว์มีกระดูกสันหลังแทบทุกชนิด ชื่อ glucocorticoid มาจากการผสมคำว่า glucose + cortex + steroid ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับฮอร์โมนนี้ คือ มีหน้าที่ควบคุมกระบวนการสร้างและสลายกลูโคส (glucose), ถูกสังเคราะห์ขึ้นที่ส่วนนอกของต่อมหมวกไต (adrenal cortex), และมีโครงสร้างเป็นสเตียรอยด์ (steroid)
