ปลาหมอลายเมฆ หรือ ปลาหมอนิมโบโครมิส (อังกฤษ : Sleeper cichlid ) เป็นปลาน้ำจืดในสกุล Nimbochromis (/นิม-โบ-โคร-มิส/) ในวงศ์ปลาหมอสี (Cichlidae) จัดเป็นปลาหมอสีที่พบได้เฉพาะ ในทะเลสาบมาลาวี รวมถึงแหล่งน้ำอื่นใกล้เคียงเท่านั้น
ปลาหมอลายเมฆ มีลักษณะเฉพาะ คือ ตามลำตัวมีลวดลายที่ดูแปลก เป็นจ้ำ ๆ มีสีน้ำตาลอยู่บนพื้นสีเหลือง ดูคล้ายกากบาทหรือตัวอักษร X หรือลายพรางของทหาร สีบริเวณส่วนหัวเป็นสีน้ำเงิน มีขนาดประมาณ 25-30 เซนติเมตร โดยที่คำว่า Nimbochromis ที่ใช้เป็นชื่อสกุลนั้นมาจากภาษาละติน 2 คำ คือ Nimbo ที่หมายถึง "เมฆในฤดูฝน" และ chromis ที่หมายถึง "ปลาหมอสี" อันหมายถึง ลวดลายบนตัวปลา
