ศิขรจี

ศิขรจี (Śikharjī) ตั้งอยู่ในอำเภอคีรีทีหะ รัฐฌารขัณฑ์ ประเทศอินเดีย ตั้งอยู่บนเขาปารศนาถ เขาที่สูงที่สุดในรัฐฌารขัณฑ์ ศิขรจีเป็นไชนะตีรถะ (แหล่งแสวงบุญ) ที่สำคัญของศาสนาไชนะ เชื่อกันว่าเป็นสถานที่ที่ตีรถังกรยี่สิบองค์จากทั้งหมดยี่สิบสี่องค์ รวมถึงสาธุองค์อื่น ๆ ได้เข้าถึงโมกษะ ดังที่ระบุไว้ใน นิรวาณกันฑ์ และคัมภีร์เล่มอื่น ๆ เส้นทางเดินทั้งหมดในศิขรจีมีความยาวรวม 44 กิโลเมตร สำหรับเส้นทางสั้นที่สุดอาจใช้เวลาเดินเท้ารวมกว่า 12 ชั่วโมง

ศัพทมูล

ศิขรจี แปลว่า "ยอดเขาอันเป็นที่เคารพ" โดย ศิขร เป็นภาษาสันสกฤตแปลว่า ยอดเขา และ จี เป็นคำลงท้ายนามแบบอินเดียเพื่อยกย่อง นอกจากนี้ยังมีเรียกว่าสัมเมทศิขร (Sammed Śikhar) อันแปลว่า "ยอดเขาแห่งศูนย์รวมสมาธิ" อันมาจากความเชื่อว่าตีรถังกรยี่สิบองค์จากยี่สิบสี่องค์ได้ทำสมาธิจนบรรลุโมกษะที่นี่ ส่วนชื่อยอดเขา "ปารศนาถ" นั้นมาจากพระนามของพระปารศวนาถ ตีรถังกรองค์ที่ยี่สิบสาม และเป็นหนึ่งในยี่สิบองค์ที่เข้าถึงโมกษะที่นี่
