ดาวทรายหนาม (อังกฤษ: Comb seastar, Sand sifting starfish; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Astropecten polyacanthus) เป็นดาวทะเลชนิดหนึ่ง
มีรูปร่างเป็นห้าแฉกหรือรูปดาว เหมือนดาวทะเลทั่วไป มีเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลางประมาณ 20 เซนติเมตร อาศัยอยู่ตามพื้นทรายตามชายฝั่งทั่วไปในเขตอินโด-แปซิฟิก เพื่อหากินสัตว์น้ำขนาดเล็กต่าง ๆ เป็นอาหาร เช่น หนอนตัวแบน, หนอนท่อหรือลูกกุ้ง, ลูกปูขนาดเล็กหรือเคย และสาหร่าย ในบางครั้งเมื่อน้ำลดแล้ว จะพบดาวทะเลชนิดนี้ติดอยู่บนหาดทรายหรือแอ่งน้ำบนโขดหิน เช่นเดียวกับดาวทราย (A. indica)
พบกระจายพันธุ์ตั้งแต่ทะเลแดง, ทะเลญี่ปุ่น, ฮาวาย จนถึงออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์
เป็นดาวทะเลอีกชนิดหนึ่งที่นิยมเลี้ยงเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยง
โดยคำว่า polyacanthus ที่ใช้เป็นชื่อชนิดนั้น มาจากภาษาละตินที่หมายถึง "มีหนามจำนวนมาก"
