พระราชบัญญัติธงชาติและเพลงชาติ (ญี่ปุ่น: 国旗及び国歌に関する法律; โรมาจิ: Kokki Oyobi Kokka ni Kansuru Hōritsu, ย่อเป็น 国旗国歌法) เป็นกฎหมายที่รับรองธงชาติและเพลงชาติของญี่ปุ่น ก่อนการให้สัตยาบันในวันที่ 13 สิงหาคม ค.ศ. 1999 ประเทศญี่ปุ่นไม่มีธงชาติหรือเพลงชาติอย่างเป็นทางการ ธงนิชโชกิ (日章旗, nisshōki) ซึ่งมักเรียกว่า "ธงฮิโนมารุ" (日の丸, hinomaru) เป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนประเทศญี่ปุ่นอย่างไม่เป็นทางการตั้งแต่ ค.ศ. 1870 ขณะที่การใช้ "คิมิงาโยะ" (君が代, kimigayo) เป็นเพลงชาติโดยพฤตินัยนั้นเริ่มตั้งแต่ ค.ศ. 1880

ตัวบทพระราชบัญญัติ

พระราชบัญญัติธงชาติและเพลงชาติรับรองนิชโชกิให้เป็นธงชาติและคิมิงาโยะ เป็นเพลงชาติ รายละเอียดของทั้งสองปรากฏอยู่ในภาคผนวก รวมถึงข้อกำหนดในการพิมพ์ธงและแผ่นโน้ตเพลงคิมิงาโยะ กฎหมายไม่มีบทบัญญัติสำหรับการใช้หรือการดูแลรักษาไม่ให้สัญลักษณ์ทั้งสองเสื่อมไป เป็นเหตุให้หน่วยงานและกระทรวงต่าง ๆ ในระดับชาติและระดับจังหวัดต่างออกข้อบังคับเป็นของตนเอง หากมีการบรรจุกฎเกี่ยวกับการใช้ธงชาติและเพลงชาติในพระราชบัญญัติ จะส่งผลให้ไม่ได้รับการสนับสนุนที่เพียงพอในการผ่านกฎหมายในสภานิติบัญญัติ

บทบัญญัติของเพลงชาติ

ฮิโนมารุ และ คิมิงาโยะ ก่อน ค.ศ. 1999
