สงครามกลางเมืองอิรักเป็นการขัดกันด้วยอาวุธที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ในตะวันออกกลาง ในปี 2557 การก่อการกำเริบอิรักบานปลายเป็นสงครามกลางเมืองด้วยรัฐอิสลามอิรักและลิแวนต์พิชิตฟัลลูญะห์ (Fallujah) และโมซูลและพื้นที่สำคัญในภาคเหนือของประเทศอิรัก ส่งผลให้นายกรัฐมนตรีนูรี อัล-มาลิกี (Nouri al-Maliki) ลาออก สหรัฐ อิหร่าน ซีเรียและประเทศอื่นอีกกว่าสิบสองประเทศโจมตีทางอากาศ ทหารอิหร่านเข้าร่วมรบภาคพื้นดิน และรัสเซียช่วยเหลือทางทหารต่ออิรัก
