ภาษาอาระเบียเหนือโบราณ
ภาษาอาระเบียเหนือโบราณ (Ancient North Arabian) เป็นภาษาที่เป็นที่รู้จักผ่านศิลาจารึกเป็นส่วนๆในประเทศอิรัก จอร์แดน ซีเรีย และซาอุดิอาระเบีย คาดว่ามีอายุราวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 1 – 11 อักษรที่ใช้เขียนพัฒนามาจากอักษรอาระเบียใต้ และพบภาษาอาหรับยุคก่อนคลาสสิกปรากฏคู่กับภาษานี้ คาดว่ายังใช้เป็นภาษาพูดจนถึงพุทธศตวรรษที่ 6 สำเนียงของภาษาเหล่านี้ได้แก่ ภาษาซาไฟติก ภาษาเดดานิติก/ลิห์ยานิติก ภาษาทามูดิก ภาษาฮาไซติก ภาษาฮิสมาอิก ภาษาทายมานิติก ภาษาดูมานิติก
