โพรทอนเมล (ProtonMail) เป็นบริการอีเมลเข้ารหัสแบบ end-to-end ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2556 ในเจนีวา ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ โดยนักวิทยาศาสตร์ที่พบกันที่ศูนย์วิจัยของเซิร์น ProtonMail ใช้การเข้ารหัสฝั่งไคลเอ็นต์เพื่อปกป้องเนื้อหาอีเมลและข้อมูลผู้ใช้ก่อนที่จะส่งไปยังเซิร์ฟเวอร์ของ ProtonMail ซึ่งแตกต่างจากผู้ให้บริการอีเมลทั่วไปเช่น Gmail และ Outlook.com บริการนี้สามารถเข้าถึงได้ผ่านไคลเอนต์เว็บเมล เครือข่ายทอร์ หรือแอปเฉพาะสำหรับไอโอเอสและแอนดรอยด์

ProtonMail ดำเนินการโดย Proton Technologies AG ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทที่ตั้งอยู่ในรัฐเจนีวา เซิร์ฟเวอร์ตั้งอยู่ที่สองแห่งในสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ นอกเขตอำนาจศาลของสหรัฐอเมริกาและสหภาพยุโรป บริษัทยังดำเนินการ ProtonVPN ซึ่งเป็นบริการเครือข่ายส่วนตัวเสมือน ProtonMail ได้รับเงินทุนเริ่มต้นผ่านการรณรงค์ระดมทุนจากประชาชน แม้ว่าบัญชีเริ่มต้นจะไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย แต่บริการนี้ยังมีตัวเลือกแบบชำระเงิน ในขั้นต้น ProtonMail ได้เปิดให้บริการแก่สาธารณะในเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ. 2559 ณ เดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2560 ProtonMail มีผู้ใช้มากกว่า 2 ล้านคน และเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 5 ล้านคนภายในเดือนกันยายน พ.ศ. 2561 และมากกว่า 10 ล้านคนภายในสิ้นปี 2561
