ไอโหเฬ

ไอโหเฬ (อักษรโรมัน: Aihole) หรือ ไอหัฬ (กันนาดา: ಐಹೊಳೆ) หรือชื่ออื่น ๆ ไอวัฬฬี, อารยปุระ, อหิโวฬาฬ เป็นแหล่งโบราณสถานที่ประกอบด้วยหมู่ศานสถานของศาสนาพุทธ, ไชนะ และ ศาสนาฮินดู สร้างขึ้นในราวศตวรรษที่ 6-12 ซากของสิ่งปลูกสร้างที่พบในปัจจุบันส่วนใหญ่สร้างขึ้นในศตวรรษที่ 7-10 หมู่สิ่งปลูกสร้างไอโหเฬประกอบด้วยวิหารหินและถ้ำวิหารมากกว่าหนึ่งร้อยยี่สิบแห่ง กระจายตัวไปทั่วที่ราบลุ่มแม่น้ำมัลลประภา ในอำเภอภคัลโกฏ โดยมีหมู่บ้านใกล้สุดคือหุนาคุณฑ์ ซึ่งห่างออกไป 35 กิโลเมตร

ไอโหเฬตั้งอยู่ 35 กิโลเมตร (22 ไมล์) ห่างจากพทามี และราย 9.7 กิโลเมตร (6.0 ไมล์) จากปัฏฏทกัล ซึ่งล้วนเป็นแหล่งสำคัญของสถาปัตยกรรมจาลุกยะ ทั้งไอโหเฬและพทามีเฟื่องฟูขึ้นในศตวรรษที่ 6 ในบานะแหล่งปลูกสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมสำคัญของจาลุกยะ
